(Renovación parcial del Reparto Protagonista en los créditos, con la ausencia de BARBARA BEL GEDDES por motivos de salud, que fue sustituida por DONNA REED como ELLIE a partir del episodio 7. Se añaden además como protagonistas a los actores invitados de etapas anteriores, como HOWARD KEEL y PRISCILLA PRESLEY, acreditada de nuevo como BEAULIEU, pero cuya imagen se sitúa entre las de KERCHEVAL y PRINCIPAL. Los actores invitados que aparecen en la mayor parte de los 30 episodios son DEBORAH SHELTON (Mandy Winger desde el episodio 3) y JENILEE HARRISON (Jamie Ewing) a partir del 4. AUDREY LANDERS sólo interviene en el primero, y MORGAN BRITTANY, embarazada, sale de escena en el cuarto, y volverá en los dos últimos. Como secundarios fijos aparecen las secretarias: DEBORAH RENNARD (Sly), DEBORAH TRANELLI (Phyllis), DANONE SIMPSON (Kendall) y SHERRIL LYNN RETTINO (de soltera KATZMAN) como Jackie; los niños: OMRI KATZ (John Ross), ERIC FARLOW (Christopher) y SHALANE McCALL (Charlie). Y por último, aunque no menos importante, ROSEANNA CHRISTIANSEN es la actriz que interpretó a TERESA, la criada de los Ewing, hasta el final de la serie.

The main titles are partially renewed, with BARBARA BEL GEDDES missing for health reasons and replaced by DONNA REED as MISS ELLIE from episode 7 on. Also added to the “starring” titles are some of the guest stars of previous seasons, like HOWARD KEEL and PRISCILLA PRESLEY, credited as BEAULIEU again, but featured between KERCHEVAL and PRINCIPAL. The “also starring” actors for most of the 30 episodes are DEBORAH SHELTON (Mandy Winger since episode 3) and JENILEE HARRISON (Jamie Ewing) from 4th on. AUDREY LANDERS only appears in the first one, and MORGAN BRITTANY exits on the fourth, and will come back, pregnant in real life, for the last two. Guest-starring as regulars are the secretaries: DEBORAH RENNARD (Sly), DEBORAH TRANELLI (Phyllis), DANONE SIMPSON (Kendall) and SHERRIL LYNN RETTINO (formerly KATZMAN) as Jackie; the children: OMRI KATZ (John Ross), ERIC FARLOW (Christopher) and SHALANE McCALL (Charlie). Last but not least, ROSEANNA CHRISTIANSEN is the actress who played the character of TERESA, the Ewings´ maid, until the end of the show.)

AFTON descubre, en la oficina de J.R., el cuerpo de BOBBY malherido por varios disparos. Más tarde, explicará que estaba sentado en el sillón de J.R. para comprobar si también su teléfono había sido intervenido. Mientras,CLIFF, que estaba a punto de arruinarse, ha encontrado petróleo en el Golfo de Méjico, y MARILEE intenta desesperadamente hacer las paces con él...SUE ELLEN ha vuelto al lecho conyugal para cumplir con sus deberes de esposa, aunque esconde una pistola. LUCY sospecha lo ocurrido y la intervención de J.R.:

"¿Falta de pruebas? PETER va hacia NUEVA YORK. Y SUE ELLEN ha vuelto a tu dormitorio. Todo atado y bien atado, J.R. Es como si alguien muy poderoso e influyente hubiera intervenido para resolver el caso. Le pusiste una trampa a PETER, ¿verdad? Estaba tonteando con SUE ELLEN y lo descubriste. He sido una tonta, aquí a nadie le importa nada ni nadie..." - exclama. KATHERINE acaba de comprar la antigua mansión de su madre en HOUSTON y se sorprende al saber que BOBBY NO ha muerto...CLIFF es sospechoso de haber disparado contra BOBBY, aunque él no recuerda nada debido a su borrachera...

“Creo que fuiste al Edificio EWING para matar a J.R. pero disparaste contra BOBBY por error” - confiesa AFTON antes de abandonarle para siempre. Además, fue ella quien le telefoneó antes del atentado para saber si estaba en la oficina." “Espero que no se lo hayas dicho a la policía porque me podría traer muchos problemas...” - responde él. "Ya has perdido la memoria antes, así que supongo que volvió a pasar anoche. Fue entonces cuando pudiste haberle disparado. ¿Ni siquiera te importa que disparasen contra BOBBY?" Cuando CLIFF confiesa no importarle, AFTON añade entre lágrimas: "Eres el hombre más frío que he conocido. Haces que J.R. parezca un santo. Nuestra relación es ridícula. Hemos terminado. Ojalá pudiera decir que ha sido maravillosa, pero tú sólo te preocupas por una persona: CLIFF BARNES..." En el hospital, BOBBY recupera la consciencia y se da cuenta de que ha perdido la vista. El médico le informa de que fue la bala que le rozó la cara la causante, y no saben aún si la ceguera será permanente. PAMELA regresa a DALLAS con su hijo cuando oye la noticia, y se lleva una decepción al ver a JENNA cuidando a BOBBY en el hospital...y a KATHERINE en la entrada.

"No quiero que le veas" - le dice PAM. "Y estoy segura de que tampoco BOBBY. Siempre causas problemas, y BOBBY no está en condiciones de soportar tus retorcidos juegos." "Yo no vivo según tus normas. Soy una mujer adulta y él es un hombre libre. Tengo derecho a verle." "¿No comprendes que está muy enfermo? ¿No sabes que se ha quedado ciego? KATHERINE, vuélvete a HOUSTON y sal de nuestra vida..." Mientras, BOBBY y J.R. reciben malas noticias de la policía:

"Pensé que debía decírselo: Balística ha comprobado que las balas que le extrajeron a BOBBY no procedían del arma de EDGAR RANDOLPH. Tenemos tres testigos fiables que han proporcionado la coartada a este a la hora que se produjo el atentado. Quien disparó contra BOBBY sigue aún en libertad..."

AFTON finds BOBBY´s body at J.R.´s office, hit by several gunshots. Later on, he will explain that he was sitting at J.R.´s chair to check out if his phone had been bugged too. Meanwhile, CLIFF, who was almost broke, has found oil in the Gulf of Mexico, and MARILEE tries desperately to make up with him... SUE ELLEN has returned to the marital bed to accomplish her duties as a wife, though she has hidden a gun.

"Lack of evidence? PETER's on his way to NEW YORK. And SUE ELLEN is back in your room. It's all very neat, J.R. Almost like someone with a lot of power and influence stepped in and settled the case. You set PETER up, didn't you? He was playing around with SUE ELLEN and you found out. I've been a damned fool. Nobody around here cares about anyone or anything!" - she raves. KATHERINE is buying her mother´s old HOUSTON manor when she gets quite a shock to know that BOBBY is not dead...CLIFF is suspect of having shot BOBBY, though he doesn´t remember anything at all because he was drunk...

“I think you went to the EWING Offices to kill J.R. and you shot BOBBY by mistake.” - AFTON confesses before leaving him for good. Besides, it was her who phoned J.R. before the attempt to know if he was in the office. “I hope you didn´t tell the police this crazy story, I could be in a lot of trouble...” – he answers. "You've blacked out before, so I guess you blacked out again last night."You've blacked out before, so I guess you blacked out again last night. Then you could have done the shooting. Doesn't it even bother you that BOBBY was shot?" When CLIFF admits it doesn´t, a disappointed AFTON tells him in tears: "You are the coldest man I've ever met. You make J.R. EWING look like a saint. CLIFF, our relationship is ridiculous. It's over. I just wish I could say it's been terrific. The only one you've ever cared about: CLIFF BARNES..."

At the hospital, BOBBY comes to and realizes that he cannot see. The doctor tells him that is has been caused by the bullet that hit, but they don' still know if the blindness will be permanent. PAMELA rushes back to DALLAS with her son when she gets the news, and is disappointed to see JENNA taking care of BOBBY at the hospital...and KATHERINE arriving:

"I just don't want you with him" - PAM tells her. "And I'm sure BOBBY doesn't want you either. You're a troublemaker, KATHERINE. And BOBBY's in no condition for your antics." "I don't live by your rules. I'm a big girl and BOBBY's a free man. I have every right to see him." "Doesn't it penetrate that he's very sick? Did they tell you that he's blind? KATHERINE, go back to HOUSTON. And stay out of our lives!" Meanwhile, BOBBY and J.R. get very bad news from the police:

"I thought I'd better tell you. There was no ballistics match between the bullets they took out of BOBBY and EDGAR RANDOLPH's gun. We got three reliable witnesses that place him in the lobby of the Chase Hotel just sitting there at the time BOBBY was shot. Whoever tried to kill you is still at large..."

NOTA: Con este episodio, DALLAS regresó a la programación de TV3 después de una ausencia de más de un año, esta vez en la noche de los martes, y con el aliciente de la recuperación de la “spin-off” KNOTS LANDING, que se emitiría poco después con el título de CALIFÒRNIA. La interrupción de DALLAS provocó, una vez más, algunos cambios en las voces de doblaje (para los personajes de Lucy, Ray, Katherine y otros más secundarios), así como pequeños fallos de traducción en el tratamiento entre familiares.

NOTE: With this episode DALLAS returned to the TV3 schedule after an absence of over one year, this time on Tuesday primetime, adding the appeal of bringing back its spin-off KNOTS LANDING, later aired as CALIFÒRNIA. The interruption of DALLAS caused, once again, some changes in the dubbing voices (for the characters of Lucy, Ray, Katherine and other of lesser importance), as well as little translation mistakes in the form of family addressing.

2/163: “BATTLE LINES” ("LÍNEA DE COMBATE")

J.R. remueve cielo y tierra para descubrir quién disparó contra BOBBY. Pero lo tiene difícil, ya que, según todos los indicios, cualquiera de sus enemigos, posibles sospechosos, tienen coartadas irrefutables. BOBBY pide a DONNA que le sustituya en la EWING OIL temporalmente, tras confirmar que J.R. había intervenido su teléfono.

“No te pongas muy cómoda en el sillón de BOBBY, no vas a estar ahí mucho tiempo, nena...” - aconseja J.R.

"Siento que hayan disparado contra Bobby, aunque sea un Ewing – dice CLIFF a su hermana - ...Habría sido mejor que hubieran disparado a J.R. Eh, no seas hipócrita. ¿Quién lo habría lamentado, salvo su madre.....quizás?” Al mismo tiempo, comunica a JENNA que su boda no se celebrará hasta que no se recupere de su ceguera. Sin embargo, la cuestión del atentado contra BOBBY parece resolverse cuando se descubre el arma usada contra BOBBY en casa de CLIFF y este es arrestado con J.R. y PAM como testigos...

J.R. is removing heaven and earth to find out who shot BOBBY. But it is hard to know because all of his enemies and possible suspects, seem to have perfect alibis. BOBBY asks DONNA to replace him at EWING OIL temporarily after they confirm that J.R. had bugged his phone.

“Don´t get too comfortable in BOBBY´s chair, you´re not going to be there long, darlin´...” - J.R. warns.

“I'm sorry Bobby got shot too, even if he is a Ewing – CLIFF tells his sister - Been a lot better if it was J.R. Hey, don't be hypocritical! Who would have mourned him except his mother...Maybe.” At the same time, BOBBY tells JENNA they cannot marry her until he gets his sight back. However, the who shot BOBBY question seems to be answered when the gun is found at CLIFF´s home and he is arrested at Barnes-Wentworth entry, in front of PAM and J.R., who has come to see it...

3/164: “IF AT FIRST YOU DON´T SUCCEED” ("SI A LA PRIMERA NO TIENES ÉXITO...")

La investigación sobre el atentado de BOBBY toma un rumbo inesperado que hace que J.R. tema por su vida y la de su hermano. El agresor planea otro ataque contra él y la policía está desconcertada. BOBBY decide someterse a la operación que puede restablecerle la vista.

Por su parte, J.R. le confiesa que se siente culpable de lo ocurrido, ya que los disparos iban dirigidos a él. La policía se ve obligada a liberar a CLIFF cuando una joven llamada MANDY WINGER le proporciona una coartada. Entonces, el asesino reaparece...

The inquiry about BOBBY´s shooting takes an unexpected twist that makes J.R. care about his own life and his brother´s. The aggressor is planning to strike back and the police are clueless. BOBBY decides to undergo surgery so he could regain his sight.

J.R. confesses BOBBY his guilt for what happened since the shoots were meant for him. The police are obligated to release CLIFF when a young woman called MANDY WINGER provides him an alibi. Then, the killer strikes back...

4/165: “JAMIE”

Obsesionada con matar a BOBBY, KATHERINE vuelve a intentarlo entrando en su habitación del hospital con una inyección mortal. Cuando la detiene la policía, confiesa que los disparos iban dirigidos a BOBBY, no a J.R.:

“Le quiero, pero él no me quiere a mí, sino a JENNA, y antes a PAM, la dulce y adorable PAM... Ninguna de las dos se quedará con él: han envenenado su mente contra mí para alejarme pero, si yo no puedo conseguirle, nadie lo hará...” Finalmente, el enfermo recupera la vista y regresa a SOUTHFORK. Pero KATHERINE desaparece misteriosamente tras salir de prisión bajo fianza y vende parte de sus acciones de la WENTWORTH. CLIFF y PAM van a ver a KATHERINE a HOUSTON al saber que ha comprado la antigua mansión de sus padres.

“La señorita Wentworth se llevó casi todas sus cosas cuando se marchó anoche” – les dice la criada. Un buen día, llega al rancho una misteriosa desconocida que hará una revelación sorprendente para toda la familia: es la hija de JASON, el hermano de JOCK...

Obsessed with BOBBY, KATHERINE tries to kill him again as she gets into his hospital room carrying a fatal injection. When the police arrest her, she confesses that she intended to shoot BOBBY, not J.R.:

“I love him! He doesn´t want me. He wants JENNA and, before that, he wanted PAM. Sweet, darling PAM, whom everybody adores. Well, they´re not going to have him – neither one of them. They poisoned his mind against me to keep me away but if I can´t have him, nobody can...” Finally, the patient regains his sight and returns to SOUTHFORK. But KATHERINE disappears mysteriously after being bailed out and selling her share of WENTWORTH Industries. CLIFF and PAM visit KATHERINE at HOUSTON when they learn that she has bought her parents´ old manor.

“Miss Wentworth took most of her things when she left last night” – the maid tells them. One fine day, an unknown visitor arrives at the ranch and reveals something that surprises the whole family: she is the daughter of JOCK´s brother JASON...

JAMIE, la joven desconocida que ha llegado a SOUTHFORK, enseña a los EWING el carné de conducir de ALASKA y una vieja foto de JOCK con su padre, JASON EWING. JAMIE consigue salir bien parada del interrogatorio al que le somete J.R. sobre sus conocimientos del negocio...Decidido a desenmascararla, J.R. encarga a su abogado una investigación sobre JAMIE, al tiempo que insinúa a SUE ELLEN que sonsaque información a su prima.

“¿Cuánto me costará que dejes de hacer esta estúpida farsa y te largues de aquí?” – le dice finalmente a JAMIE. PAM amenaza a J.R. con hacerle pagar por la detención de CLIFF...

JAMIE, the mysterious young woman who has come up at SOUTHFORK, shows to the EWINGS her ALASKA driving license and an old picture of JOCK with her father JASON EWING. JAMIE stands up to J.R.´s questioning about the oil business...Determined to unmask her, J.R. orders his lawyer to search on JAMIE, as he hints SUE ELLEN to draw his cousin out.

“How much will it take for you to drop this stupid act and get out of here?” – he eventually tells JAMIE. PAM threatens J.R. with paying him back for CLIFF´s arrest...

PAM se queda impresionada cuando cree ver a MARK conduciendo su coche por DALLAS. Cuando averigua que su abogado tiene orden de conservar su legado durante dos años, PAM empieza a pensar que MARK sigue con vida...Al saber esto, BOBBY cree que lo mejor para él es casarse con JENNA, pero prefiere esperar la vuelta de ELLIE. SUE ELLEN sale en defensa de JAMIE y le promete protegerla de J.R. Por otra parte, LUCY, que ahora trabaja de camarera, se pelea con su compañera BETTY a causa de un cliente llamado EDDIE.

PAM is shocked to see MARK´s car being driven in DALLAS. When she knows that his lawyer has been told to keep his legacy for two years, PAM begins to think that MARK must be alive... This makes BOBBY believe that the best for him is marrying JENNA, but he prefers to wait for MISS ELLIE. SUE ELLEN stands up for JAMIE and promises her to protect her from J.R. On the other side, LUCY, who is working as a waitress now, fights with her workmate BETTY for a client called EDDIE.

El retorno de ELLIE y CLAYTON de su luna de miel, provoca reacciones contrapuestas en SOUTHFORK, cuando ella reconoce que JAMIE se parece a JASON, el hermano de su difunto marido. Por su parte, J.R. está preocupado por la ascensión económica de los BARNES:

"El testamento de MARK aún no ha sido validado; cuando lo sea, PAM podría heredar una fortuna considerable, además de la que ya recibió cuando se murió su madre. Te lo digo yo, esa mujer tiene una habilidad especial para acumular dólares sin tener que ganárselos…" – se queja ante SUE ELLEN y, más tarde, ante BOBBY. - "Seguro que harán lo que sea para hundirnos...Es la guerra y perdemos una batalla detrás de otra.” Pero lo único que preocupa a PAM es la posibilidad de hallar vivo a MARK, por lo que va a ver a su mejor amigo y médico, JERRY:

“Creo que deberías aceptar la muerte de MARK: es una realidad”. CLAYTON se percata en seguida de que deberá convivir con el fantasma de JOCK.

ELLIE and CLAYTON return from their honeymoon. When she admits that JAMIE looks like JASON, her late husband´s brother, causes mixed reactions at SOUTHFORK. J.R. is worried about the BARNESES´ financial rising:

“MARK´s will hasn´t been probated yet; when it is, PAM could come into a substantial fortune, which she´ll add to the fortune she got when her Mama died. I tell you, that woman has a knack for piling up unearned dollars…"– he complains to SUE ELLEN and later to BOBBY. - They´ll sure do anything to put us down...It´s war and we´re losing one battle after another.”But PAM´s only worry is the possibility of finding MARK alive, so she calls his closest friend and doctor JERRY:

“I think you should accept MARK´s death: it´s a reality”. CLAYTON soon realizes that he will have to live with JOCK´s ghost.

ELLIE cambia el mobiliario de su dormitorio para que CLAYTON se sienta cómodo. CLIFF está preocupado por el estado emocional de PAM, provocado por su obsesión con MARK:

“En su estado, no sé cómo se tomaría que BOBBY se casara con JENNA...” La familia EWING asiste al Baile Anual de los Petroleros, donde J.R. conoce a MANDY, la atractiva novia de CLIFF. MANDY ha trabado amistad con PAM y le aconseja sobre BOBBY:

“No sabe que aún le quieres, no han anunciado la boda, tal vez hay un motivo..." Pero J.R., que ha escuchado la conversación, anuncia ante el micrófono el próximo enlace de BOBBY para asegurarse de que la boda se celebrará...

ELLIE changes her bedroom´s furniture in order to make CLAYTON comfortable. CLIFF is concerned about PAM´s emotional condition, due to her obsession with MARK:

“The way she is now, I don´t know how she would take BOBBY´s marriage to JENNA...” The EWING family attends the Oil Baron´s Ball, where J.R. sees MANDY, CLIFF´s pretty girlfriend. MANDY has befriended PAM and advises her about BOBBY:

“He doesn´t know that you still love him, the wedding hasn´t been announced yet. Maybe there´s a reason for it...” But J.R., who has overheard their conversation, takes the microphone and announces BOBBY´s upcoming wedding to make sure it will go on...

BOBBY se enfurece con J.R. por su actuación en el Baile:

“Hiciste algo repugnante e insensible para poner a PAM en evidencia...” Ella continúa su inexorable búsqueda de MARK, sobre todo ahora que BOBBY ha hecho oficiales sus planes de boda:

“Pensáis que estoy loca por seguir buscando a MARK, pero no lo estoy. Puede seguir vivo en alguna parte y, si está solo y enfermo, me necesita más que nunca. No descansaré hasta que le encuentre...” NALDO MARCHETTA reaparece y confiesa a JENNA que KATHERINE le pagó por intentar separarle de BOBBY:

“Tengo intención de volver a ver a CHARLIE y haré lo que sea para conseguirlo.” Mientras, ELLIE decide trasladar el retrato de JOCK a la EWING OIL, a pesar de las quejas de J.R. y BOBBY...

BOBBY is angry at J.R. for his behavior at the Ball:

“It was a lousy and insensitive thing to embarrass PAM...” She continues her relentless search for MARK, especially now that BOBBY has made his marriage plans official:

“I know everyone thinks I´m crazy to go on looking for MARK. Well, I´m not. He may be alive out there somewhere, and if he is and he´s sick and alone, he needs me more than ever. And if he is alive, I´m going to find him...” NALDO MARCHETTA surfaces again and confesses JENNA that KATHERINE paid him to try to break up BOBBY and her:

Cuando la chica desaparece sin dejar rastro, JENNA piensa que NALDO la ha secuestrado. Mientras la policía la busca, BOBBY contrata a unos detectives para vigilar al ex marido de JENNA.

"No me marcharé sin mi hija y tú no podrás impedirlo" – advierte NALDO a BOBBY. SUE ELLEN consigue a JAMIE un empleo de recepcionista en la EWING OIL. A su vez, RAY encuentra a CHARLIE en los establos de SOUTHFORK:

“Siempre quise que fueras mi padre - confiesa a BOBBY. “Cuando nos casemos tu madre y yo, los tres seremos una familia y serás la hija que siempre quise tener.” Por otra parte, hallan los restos del avión de MARK, pero no su cuerpo, y PAM recupera la esperanza de encontrarlo...

JENNA tells BOBBY she is worried about NALDO´s return and decides to reveal CHARLIE that he is his real father. When the girl vanishes, JENNA thinks that NALDO has kidnapped her. While the police are searching for her, BOBBY hires some detectives to watch JENNA´s ex-husband.

“I will not leave without my daughter and you cannot stop me – NALDO tells BOBBY. SUE ELLEN gets JAMIE a job at EWING OIL as a receptionist. At the same time, RAY finds CHARLIE at the SOUTHFORK stable:

“I always wanted you to be my daddy” – she confesses BOBBY. “Your mama and I are going to be married, and the three of us will be a family; then you´ll be the daughter I always wanted to have.” In the meantime, the remains of MARK´s plane are found, but not his corpse and PAM begins to hope she can really find him...

“La familia ha funcionado muy bien así y no dejaré que las cosas cambien” - asegura ella. BOBBY se siente desolado ante la boda de JENNA y propone que nadie vuelva a mencionar su nombre: “Brindo por ella y la vida que ha elegido, donde esté y con quien esté...” Pero JENNA está junto a un cadáver cuando la policía la detiene por asesinato.

NALDO tries to rape JENNA on their wedding night, with her screaming at him:

“Stay away from me or I´ll kill you...!” J.R. tries to convince PAM that BOBBY has vowed to find JENNA, just like she has vowed to find MARK. PAM gets news about MARK´s presence at a JAMAICA hospital, and CLAYTON accuses ELLIE of overprotecting BOBBY:

“The family has worked out fine this way and I won´t let things change” – she assures. BOBBY is heartbroken over JENNA´s wedding and proposes that no one mentions her name again: “I toast to the life she´s chosen for herself...wherever she is...whoever she is with...” But JENNA is with a corpse when the police arrest her for murder.

Por este motivo, el juez deniega la fianza para evitar que JENNA se marche de LAREDO...Mientras, RAY y DONNA se trasladan a AUSTIN para buscar en los documentos de SAM CULVER algún indicio de los derechos de JAMIE. J.R. tiene un último encuentro con su amiga SERENA, que abandona la profesión para casarse. Pero JAMIE los ve juntos en el Club de los Petroleros y, una vez en casa, le reprocha su comportamiento, con tan mala suerte que SUE ELLEN oye la discusión...

"Sue Ellen, Jamie ve cosas que no comprende – es su pobre excusa – ¡y luego las lanza a los cuatro vientos...! Ha mentido desde el día que llegó y ya estoy harto. Quiero que se vaya de esta casa ahora mismo..."

JENNA is jailed in LAREDO for NALDO´s murder. The EWINGS provide her a good defense, attorney DEMEREST, who already defended JOCK in the past, but JENNA´s main concern is CHARLIE. Because of this, the judge refuses to set bail so JENNA won´t leave LAREDO...Meanwhile, RAY and DONNA go to AUSTIN to search in SAM CULVER´s documents some clue to JAMIE´s rights. J.R. holds a last meeting with his confident SERENA, who is giving up her profession to marry. But JAMIE sees them together at the Oil Baron´s Club and, at home, she throws at him his misbehavior, so unluckily that SUE ELLEN hears the argument...

"Sue Ellen, Jamie sees things she doesn't understand" – is his poor excuse - "and then broadcasts lies all over the place! She´s been lying ever since you first got here and I'm sick and tired of it. I want you out of this house and off this property right now!"

SUE ELLEN pierde los estribos ante una nueva infidelidad de J.R.:

“JAMIE me ha permitido verme a mí misma y no ha sido agradable, simulando que podemos ser felices juntos.” A su vez, CLIFF encuentra una aliada en JAMIE...

JAMIE moves out of SOUTHFORK and her hatred towards J.R. makes her ally with CLIFF and keep away from SUE ELLEN...JENNA´s attorney reports that the police has discovered her fingerprints all over the crime weapon. At the same time, BOBBY comes up to a meeting in CALIFORNIA with VERONICA, NALDO´s accomplice, who demands 50.000 dollars for the return of the girl. SUE ELLEN goes off the wagon after her husband´s new betrayal:

“JAMIE has allowed me to see myself today and it wasn´t a nice sight, pretending that we could be happy together.” At the same time, CLIFF finds an ally in JAMIE...

“El infierno se congelará antes de que consigas una parte de mi compañía...” – clama J.R. PAM descubre que éste la ha mandado de un lugar a otro, dejando un rastro de pistas falsas sobre el paradero de MARK, razón por la que no se fía de unas recientes informaciones que lo sitúan en HONG-KONG...

JENNA is released on bail and moves into SOUTHFORK with CHARLIE. PAM discovers that she has been sent on a wild goose chase by J.R., who left a trail of tips indicating MARK´s whereabouts, so she doesn´t rely on recent news locating him in HONG KONG...JENNA refuses to marry BOBBY until her trial is over. J.R. eventually seduces MANDY with caviar, champagne, and flowers. Meanwhile, CLIFF and JAMIE work out a strategy so they can claim their shares of EWING OIL:

“Hell will freeze before you get any share of my company...” – claims J.R. PAM discovers that he has been sending her on a wild goose, leaving false clues around about MARK's whereabouts, therefore she doesn´t rely on recent information locating him at HONG KONG...

“No tienes corazón, J.R. No pueden hacerte daño. Pero tienes una debilidad: la EWING OIL. Apoyaré a CLIFF y JAMIE hasta el final y nos quedaremos con tu preciosa empresa...” MANDY se siente culpable de espiar a J.R. para CLIFF, aunque se da cuenta de que ambos la utilizan. Al saber lo ocurrido con PAM, BOBBY se lanza contra J.R., lleno de ira...J.R. se da cuenta de la precaria situación en la que se encuentra su familia a causa de la demanda presentada por CLIFF.

Furious about J.R.´s meddling, PAM joins forces with CLIFF and JAMIE to take their two-thirds of EWING OIL away from J.R. and see him down:

“You have no heart, you have no feelings. You can´t be hurt. But you have one weak spot, that´s Ewing Oil. And I'm going to join Cliff and Jamie and together we're going to take your precious company ...” MANDY feels guilty for spying J.R. for CLIFF, though she realizes they´re both using her. When he knows what happened to PAM, BOBBY jumps onto J.R., full of anger...J.R. is aware of his family´s precarious situation due to CLIFF´s injunction papers.

CLIFF, JAMIE y PAM consiguen congelar temporalmente los activos de la empresa para desesperación de J.R., que decide sacar el capital mediante una empresa-fantasma:

“CLIFF y esa pequeña traidora con la que se ha asociado, no tienen la más mínima oportunidad de conseguir una parte de mi empresa...” Además, trae a DALLAS a un tal BRINDLE, compañero de los EWING en su primer pozo. La posibilidad de un juicio revela aspectos poco honorables de la vida de JOCK, cosa que mueve a RAY a luchar activamente contra CLIFF. Además, MANDY acaba rompiendo su relación con él:

“Eres egoísta, insensible y vulgar, un imbécil sin clase...A tu lado, J.R. Ewing es un buen partido!” Reunidas todas las partes interesadas, BRINDLE saca a la luz la prueba de la validez del misterioso documento: una copia que DIGGER le confió:

“JOCK redactó este papel para que JASON no pudiera estafar a DIGGER y dejarle sin su tercio de la empresa...”

CLIFF, JAMIE and PAM get to freeze the company´s assets temporarily, and a desperate J.R. decides to remove some of the capital through a dummy corporation:

“CLIFF and that little traitor he´s working with don´t stand one chance in a million of getting a hold of my company...” He also brings to DALLAS a guy named BRINDLE, who worked the first rig with the EWINGS. The possibility of a suit reveals an unhonorable side in JOCK´s life, which makes RAY fight actively against CLIFF. Besides, MANDY ends up breaking her relationship with him:

"You are selfish, insensitive, cheap, no class jerk! Next to you, J.R. Ewing is quite a catch!" All the interested parties reunited, BRINDLE pulls out the proof of the validity of the mysterious document: a match that DIGGER asked him to keep for him:

“JOCK made out this paper so that JASON could not cheat DIGGER out of his third of the company...”

PAM y JAMIE temen que el juicio afecte a la buena reputación de JASON. Mientras, DONNA comienza a preocuparse por la implicación de RAY en la EWING OIL. PAM y SUE ELLEN parten hacia HONG-KONG siguiendo una pista que lo sitúa en una clínica de allí.

CLAYTON refuses to collaborate with J.R. in the dummy corporation scheme, which he considers unethical. ELLIE backs up her husband, to the dismay of the boys:

“I know that J.R. is capable of doing all sorts of things – she confides DONNA – And somehow this time I´m hoping that because of what´s at stake, he´ll act differently”. PAM and JAMIE fear that the suit might affect JASON´s reputation. Meanwhile, DONNA begins to worry about RAY´s involvement in EWING OIL. PAM and SUE ELLEN fly to HONG KONG following a lead that MARK has been seen in a clinic there...

Unos 20 segundos...” VERONICA accede a testificar a su favor pues su testimonio podría exculpar a JENNA de las acusaciones. Pero la cómplice de NALDO aparece muerta en el lavabo del avión...

The judge finally grants a change of venue and JENNA´s trial continues in DALLAS... CLAYTON advises RAY to give up on the fight for his marriage's sake:

“It´s really BOBBY and J.R.´s fight. You never had anything to do with that company. Just how long do you think J.R. is going to consider you a real full-fledged EWING brother when this case is over? About 20 seconds!” VERONICA agrees to testify for her since her testimony might get JENNA off. But NALDO´s accomplice is found dead in the airplane lavatory...

PAM y SUE ELLEN llegan a HONG-KONG donde esperan encontrar a MARK. Pero el enfermo que se supone que es MARK se niega a verla. PAM soborna finalmente a un empleado de la clínica y, disfrazada de enfermera, se introduce en la habitación de MARK...

An autopsy reveals that VERONICA was a heavy drug user. JENNA sinks into depression... CLIFF, J.R. and MANDY have a violent encounter at the Oil Baron´s Club, at the Cartel´s eyes. PAM and SUE ELLEN arrive at HONG KONG, where they hope to find MARK. But the sick man who is supposed to be MARK, refuses to see her. PAM eventually bribes an employee of the clinic and, disguised as a nurse, sneaks into MARK´s room...

“No necesito su éxito, sino una esposa...” JAMIE y CLIFF han iniciado una relación también en lo personal:

“Tengo la impresión de haber pasado toda la vida con las mujeres equivocadas. Tú sabes lo que importa en la vida y lo que un hombre necesita.” El caso de JENNA es llevado a juicio y BOBBY debe declarar para la acusación. BOBBY y JENNA están muy preocupados por el juicio, porque la hermana de VERONICA se niega a testificar por miedo a represalias. J.R. reconoce finalmente que quería alejar a PAM de BOBBY...

PAM explains to SUE ELLEN that the man she found at the clinic wasn´t MARK and she´s decided to give up the search. Even so, she suspects that J.R. must have something to do with it. The news of oil striking in DONNA´s small tract makes the couple fall apart:

“I don´t need her success. I need a wife...” JAMIE and CLIFF have started a relationship including the personal field too:

“I get the feeling I have spent my entire life with the wrong women. You know what´s important in life, and what a man needs.” JENNA´s case is tried in criminal court and BOBBY is called as a witness against her. BOBBY and JENNA are really worried about the trial: VERONICA´s sister refuses to testify because she fears the consequences. J.R. finally admits that he wanted to make PAM apart from BOBBY...

J.R. asegura a MANDY que su relación con SUE ELLEN está a punto de terminar:

BOBBY tracks down ANN McFADDEN, VERONICA´s sister, who has a letter from her sister that will clear JENNA. But she will not deliver it because she fears that she too will be murdered...When the letter is finally read in court, the prosecution discredits it...A government organism decreets that some of J.R.´s rigs must be closed due to contamination and he reacts to that promising its president financing his electoral campaign. J.R. assures MANDY that his relationship with SUE ELLEN is about to end.

"Sleep with anybody you want to, as long as it´s not with me“ – his wife tells him. RAY and DONNA are still estranged due to his alliance with J.R.:

“JOCK is dead, RAY. Do something for the living...” In the end, JENNA is declared guilty of voluntary manslaughter...

JENNA es sentenciada a siete años de prisión y BOBBY anuncia que es el verdadero padre de CHARLIE, para poder hacerse cargo de la niña cuando su madre sea encarcelada. J.R. utiliza este tecnicismo para separar emocionalmente a BOBBY y PAM:

“El me decía siempre que debíamos ser sinceros el uno con el otro, y me ha mentido. No creo que pueda perdonarle nunca. Ni tampoco que quiera volver a verle...” Además, SUE ELLEN ataca a J.R.:

“Me pones en evidencia con aquella ramera y sólo dices: ¿y qué?” “MANDY no es una ramera” - defiende J.R. “Ahora resulta que el famoso semental de DALLAS se ha enamorado...” Por su parte, CLIFF y JAMIE se sienten cada día más atraídos el uno por el otro.

JENNA is sentenced to seven years in jail and BOBBY announces that he is CHARLIE´s real father, to take care of the child when her mother is in prison. J.R. uses this technicality to separate BOBBY and PAM emotionally:

“He always told me that we should be honest with each other and he lied to me. I don´t think I can ever forgive him. I don´t think I want to see him again either...” Also, SUE ELLEN fights with J.R.:

“You play myself a fool with that slut and you only say: so what?” “MANDY is no slut!” - J.R. claims. “Now the famous stud of DALLAS turns out to be in love...” On their own side, CLIFF and JAMIE are more and more attracted to each other...

Cuando J.R. se da cuenta de lo peligroso que resultaría un equipo formado por JAMIE y los hermanos BARNES, decide volver a reunir a BOBBY con su ex mujer:

“PAM, yo fui quien te envió a aquella búsqueda interminable de MARK por el Caribe.” “¿Cómo? – responde ella - ¿Por qué este deseo repentino de confesarlo todo, JR? ¿Tu medico te ha dado una semana de vida o has descubierto la religión de repente?”. Mientras, JAMIE da a SUE ELLEN un valioso consejo sobre su relación con J.R.:

“Mientras sea tu marido, será problema tuyo. Enterrar la cabeza en la arena no soluciona nada y culpar a las demás mujeres no es justo. Cuando te dés cuenta de que debes hacer algo por ti misma, podrás contar con mi ayuda...” Más tarde, SUE ELLEN mantiene una charla a solas con DONNA:

"¿Cómo fue en Hong-Kong?" "¿Hong-Kong? ¡Pobre Pam!” "Pobre Pam, y pobres tú y yo..." "¿Has notado que es el mismo esquema?" "Más bien parece una epidemia" "La maldición de los Ewing." "Tiene que haber un remedio." “Nada conocido por los hombres." "Se suponía que no iba a pasarme a mí." "Lo sé." – concluye SUE ELLEN. Ciertos indicios ofrecen esperanzas a BOBBY de conseguir una segunda oportunidad para JENNA, pero ella está deprimida y no quiere volver a verle...JAMIE recibe la inesperada visita de su hermano JACK:

“Creo que me va a gustar vivir en DALLAS. Hasta pronto, hermanita.”

When J.R. realizes how dangerous JAMIE and the BARNES brothers would be a team, he decides to get BOBBY and his ex-wife back together again:

“PAM, I was the one who sent you on that wild goose chase looking for Mark Graison.” “What? – she answers - Why this sudden desire to tell all, J.R.? Did your doctor tell you that you have a week to live or did you suddenly find religion?” Meanwhile, JAMIE gives SUE ELLEN a valuable advice on her marriage to J.R.:

“As long as he´s your husband, it´s your problem. Burying your head in the sand is no solution. Blaming other women is not fair. When you realize that you have to do something for yourself, you can count on me for help...” Later on, SUE ELLEN also has a heart-to-heart talk with DONNA:

"How was Hong Kong?" "Hong Kong? Poor Pam!” "Poor Pam, poor you, poor me!" "Do you detect a pattern?" "More like an epidemic!" "The Curse of the Ewings!" "There has to be a cure!" “Nothing known to man!" "It wasn´t supposed to happen to me" "I Know." – concludes SUE ELLEN. Certain clues make BOBBY hope to get a second chance for JENNA, but she is depressed and doesn´t want to see him anymore...JAMIE receives the unexpected visit of her brother JACK:

“I kind of like it here in DALLAS. I´ll see you around, Sis.”

JACK EWING ofrece a J.R. información a cambio del 10% de la EWING OIL, asegurando que puede demostrar que ni JASON ni DIGGER tenían derecho a los beneficios de la empresa. Los tres hermanos se llevan una gran sorpresa al descubrir que el desconocido es hermano de JAMIE...

"Hace años que no le veo. Es un artista de la estafa y no me fío de él ni un pelo...” - comenta ella a los hermanos BARNES. BOBBY y PAM sienten de nuevo una mutua atracción mientras DONNA piensa que sólo el divorcio puede acabar con sus problemas conyugales...J.R. ataca verbalmente a SUE ELLEN cuando JOHN ROSS sufre un ataque de apendicitis en su ausencia:

“No te necesita, tanto él como todos estaríamos mejor sin ti”.

JACK EWING offers J.R. information in exchange for 10% of EWING OIL, claiming that he can prove that neither JASON nor DIGGER has any claim at all to the company´s benefits. The three brothers get quite a surprise to know that the unknown man is JAMIE´s brother...

"I haven´t seen him in years. He´s a natural-born con artist and I don´t put anything past him...” – she tells the BARNES brothers. BOBBY and PAM are mutually attracted to each other again while DONNA thinks that only divorce can put an end to her marital problems...J.R. attacks SUE ELLEN verbally when JOHN ROSS has appendicitis in her absence:

“He doesn´t need you, he and all of us would be better off without you”.

Acusándola de ser una madre inepta, consigue que vuelva a la bebida. CLIFF y JAMIE contraen matrimonio en una ceremonia improvisada.

“Es muy repentino - observa PAM - ¿Estás seguro de esto, CLIFF?” “Estoy harto de ser soltero...” J.R. asegura a MANDY que no hay nada más fácil para romper con SUE ELLEN que empujarla de nuevo a la bebida:

“Tu madre está muy cansada - explica a su hijo - y quizá tendremos que enviar a algún sitio donde pueda descansar una larga temporada...” Los hermanos EWING han encontrado unos documentos de JOCK que creían desaparecidos, gracias a la primera esposa de este, AMANDA, que había guardado una copia.

By accusing her of being an unfit mother, J.R. sends SUE ELLEN back to the bottle. CLIFF and JAMIE get married in an impromptu ceremony.

“It´s very sudden" - PAM notes – "Are you sure about this, CLIFF?” “I´m tired of being single...” J.R. assures MANDY that there´s nothing better to break up with SUE ELLEN than pushing her to drink:

“Your mama is very tired" – he explains to his son – "maybe we should take her somewhere to rest for a long long while...” The EWING brothers have found some papers of JOCK they believed lost, through his first wife AMANDA, who had kept a match of it too.

J.R. provoca a CLIFF para asegurarse de que se enfrentarán en los Tribunales. A su vez, BOBBY consigue hacer confesar al auténtico asesino de NALDO y JENNA es puesta en libertad. Pero también ha descubierto que PAM es su verdadero amor. Los BARNES y los EWING van a juicio por fin: un tal WINDHAM testifica que, en los años de la Depresión, él compró las partes de DIGGER y JASON en la EWING OIL y luego se las volvió a vender a JOCK. Los documentos de AMANDA lo demuestran y proporcionan la victoria a los EWING.

J.R. aggravates the feud with CLIFF to make sure they will see their day in court: BOBBY gets a confession from NALDO´s real murderer and JENNA is released. But he has also discovered that PAM is her true and only love. The BARNESES and the EWINGS go to court finally: a man named WINDHAM testifies that, in the Depression Years, he bought out the EWING OIL shares of DIGGER and JASON and then he sold them back to JOCK. AMANDA´s documents prove it and provide the victory to the EWINGS.

Los EWING celebran una fiesta con la familia y los amigos, incluída JENNA, que ha sido puesta en libertad tras la confesión del asesino de NALDO. La fiesta llega a su fin, y, tras despedirse cariñosamente de LUCY y MITCH, J.R. encuentra a SUE ELLEN inconsciente después de haber estado bebiendo vodka. CLAYTON pide a J.R. que le ayude a llevar a SUE ELLEN a casa pero J.R. se niega, diciendo que SUE ELLEN probablemente no quiere tenerlo cerca. La familia se las arregla para llevarla a casa y meterla en la cama, donde ella murmura incoherentemente que DUSTY ha sido el único hombre que ha amado realmente...

RAY encuentra a DONNA en la salita tocando el piano y ella por fin le revela su secreto. RAY está emocionado y piensa que el bebé es la solución a sus problemas. DONNA dice que quiere resolver el verdadero problema que hay en su matrimonio y no está segura de lo que quiere hacer con su embarazo en ese momento. J.R. se va a toda prisa al apartamento de MANDY. Le dice a MANDY que la opinión que tiene de ella es distinta de la que ha tenido de las demás, y no dudará lo más mínimo en alejar a SUE ELLEN para estar con ella. JENNA confía a BOBBY que desea casarse lo antes posible. Mientras, PAM descansa en la cama, sola, preguntándose en silencio lo que podría haber sido...Al día siguiente, PAM confiesa a BOBBY que guardaba esperanzas de una reunión. Está preocupada porque JENNA ha salido de la cárcel y ha vuelto a SOUTHFORK, y teme que eso acabará con la relación que mantiene con BOBBY. Mientras se va de casa de PAM, es seguido por un coche conducido por una mujer rubia...

Esa noche, la desconocida rubia mira unas imágenes de la fiesta de los Ewing del noticiario de TV. Cuando aparece en la pantalla la imagen de JENNA, le lanza un vaso de zumo de tomate...A la mañana siguiente, SUE ELLEN explica que se sentía culpable por haber estado ausente cuando JOHN ROSS la necesitaba y lo utilizó como excusa para volver a la bebida. Dice que lo ha controlado antes y dejará de beber ella sola esta vez. Por la tarde, ELLIE va a la Ewing Oil y le dice a JR que SUE ELLEN ha vuelto a emborracharse esa tarde. CLIFF consulta con su abogado sobre lo que podría ocurrir si se divorciase de JAMIE. Le dice que ella ya podría reclamar con fuerza una parte de su compañía, a menos que accediese a una anulación, que sólo le aportaría a ella un acuerdo económico. CLAYTON se encuentra con DUSTY en el Club de los Petroleros y DUSTY le dice que LINDA va a divorciarse de él porque nunca ha podido olvidar sus sentimientos por SUE ELLEN. LUCY y MITCH anuncian que piensan casarse al día siguiente y así lo hacen. Esta boda recuerda a BOBBY que es una especie de tradición EWING casarse dos veces con la misma persona. JENNA, cuando ve su reacción a un comentario de LUCY, le comenta:

“Hubo una época que estaba totalmente segura de que lo mejor que podíamos hacer era casarnos, pero ahora ya no lo estoy tanto...”

CLIFF decide contarle a JAMIE que es portador de neurofibromatosis, y por eso se hizo una vasectomía. CLIFF se ofrece a anular el matrimonio si ella lo desea, pero JAMIE dice que respeta su sinceridad y quiere seguir con él aún con más fuerza. Le promete ayudarle a convertirse en el petrolero independiente más rico de Texas. J.R. y SUE ELLEN discuten sobre lo ocurrido:

"¿Por qué no nos dejas a mí y a JOHN ROSS y te vas de Southfork para poder castigar a cualquier otro?" "¡Nunca jamás dejaré a JOHN ROSS aquí contigo!" "Te marcharás por tu propio pie o te sacarán de aquí a la fuerza, pero, de un modo u otro, este matrimonio ha terminado..."

BOBBY propone a PAM que sigan el ejemplo de MITCH y LUCY, y ella acepta emocionada. Fuera de la casa, la rubia observa desde el coche. Mientras, junto a la piscina de SOUTHFORK, RAY intentará convencer a DONNA de que todos sus problemas podrán resolverse gracias a la familia que formarán con el niño que espera...BOBBY se queda a pasar la noche y, a la mañana siguiente, empiezan a hacer planes para volver a casarse y reunir a su familia. Luego, BOBBY se marcha en dirección al rancho...Pero un coche se acerca a toda velocidad para atropellar y matar a PAM. BOBBY empuja a PAM hacia un lado y el coche le golpea a él en su lugar. Es levantado hacia la parte superior del coche y cae a la calzada...PAM se arroja a sus brazos mientras grita desesperadamente...

El coche se estrella contra la camioneta del jardinero y la conductora, KATHERINE WENTWORTH, que lleva puesta una peluca rubia, muere en el acto...SUE ELLEN se cita con DUSTY y le suplica que la ayude a combatir a J.R. o, de lo contrario, la volverá a internar en un sanatorio.

“Eso no pasará nunca…”, le asegura él. JACK acude al apartamento de CLIFF para ver a JAMIE y le explica el trato que hizo con JR por el 10% de la empresa. Le dice que lo hizo porque no podía arriesgarse a que WYNDHAM se le adelantase y les dejara sin nada. Pero le promete que compartirá con ella su parte. CLIFF llega y le dice a JACK que se marche mientras la radio ofrece la noticia del accidente de BOBBY.

BOBBY JAMES EWING fallece horas después en el Hospital DALLAS MEMORIAL. Toda la familia, incluídas PAM y JENNA, pero no SUE ELLEN, se reúnen alrededor de la cama de BOBBY, después de la operación que ha intentado curar graves heridas internas.

“Todo aquel tiempo perdido,” le susurra a PAM, “debimos estar casados...” “Sed una familia”, les ruega, justo antes de expirar.

The EWINGS hold a party for family and friends, including JENNA, who has been released after the confession of NALDO´s killer. The party comes to an end. When JR charmingly says goodbye to LUCY and MITCH, he finds SUE ELLEN passed out dead drunk. CLAYTON asks JR to help them to take SUE ELLEN home but JR refuses, saying that SUE ELLEN doesn´t probably want him near. The family manages to drive her home and put her to bed, where she incoherently whispers that DUSTY has been the only man who has really loved her...

RAY meets DONNA playing piano at the living-room and she finally reveals her secret. RAY is overwhelmed and thinks that the baby is the solution to all their problems. DONNA says she wants to solve out the real problem in their marriage and is not sure of what she wishes to do with her pregnancy at that moment. J.R. rushes to MANDY´s apartment. He tells MANDY that his opinion about her is different to what he has thought about the other women, and he won´t hesitate to pull SUE ELLEN away so they can be together. JENNA confides BOBBY that she wants to get married as soon as possible. Meanwhile, PAM is resting on her bed, alone, silently wondering what could have been...The next day, PAM confesses BOBBY she still hoped they could be together. She is worried because JENNA is out of prison and back at SOUTHFORK, and that will end her relationship with BOBBY. As he leaves PAM´s house, he is followed by a car driven by a blond woman...That night, the unknown blond watches a news broadcast about the Ewings´ party. When she sees JENNA´s image, she throws a glass of tomato juice at the TV set...

The next morning, SUE ELLEN explains that she was feeling guilty for her absence when JOHN ROSS needed her and used it as an excuse to drink again. She says she could control it before and will stop drinking on her own this time too. Later on, ELLIE goes at Ewing Oil to tell JR that SUE ELLEN has got drunk again that afternoon. CLIFF asks his lawyer what could go on if he would divorce JAMIE. He says that she could strongly claim for her company share unless she agreed to an annulment, which only would imply a financial agreement. CLAYTON meets DUSTY at the Oil Baron´s Club and DUSTY tells him that LINDA has asked him for a divorce because he could never forget his feelings for SUE ELLEN.

LUCY and MITCH announce they will get married the next day and so do they. This wedding reminds BOBBY that it´s sort of a EWING tradition to marry the same person twice. JENNA tells BOBBY, when she sees his reaction to a comment made by LUCY:

"There was a time that I was absolutely sure that getting married was the right thing to do, but I´m not so sure anymore...” CLIFF decides to explain to JAMIE that he is a carrier of neurofibromatosis, so he had a vasectomy done. CLIFF offers to get her a marriage annulment if she wants to, but JAMIE says she respects his honesty and still loves him more. She promises to help him to become the wealthiest independent oilman in Texas. At the ranch, the couple argues about what happened:

“Why don´t you leave me and JOHN ROSS and Southfork and inflict yourself on someone else?" "I'll never leave JOHN ROSS here with you!" "You´re gonna leave on your own or you´re gonna be driven off, but one way or another this marriage is over."

BOBBY proposes PAM to follow MITCH´s and LUCY´s pattern, and she says yes twice, joyfully. Outside the manor, the blonde in the car angrily watches the lights turn off from a distance. Meanwhile, by the shadowed SOUTHFORK pool, RAY is trying to convince DONNA that all their problems will solve out thanks to the family they will make with the baby she is expecting...BOBBY stays the night and, the next morning, they begin to make plans to remarry and reunite their family. Then BOBBY leaves to head back the ranch...But a car comes careening across the driveway to hit and run PAM. BOBBY knocks her to safety and the car hits him instead. He is rolled across the top of the car and falls onto the driveway...PAM cradles him in her arms while screaming desperately...The car crashes into the gardener’s truck and the driver, KATHERINE WENTWORTH, wearing a blonde wig, is killed instantly... SUE ELLEN meets DUSTY and begs him to help her to fight J.R., otherwise he will commit her to a sanitarium again.

“That will never happen…”, he assures. JACK goes at CLIFF´s to see JAMIE and tells her about the deal he made with J.R. for 10% of the company. He says that he did it because he couldn´t take the chance of WYNDHAM advancing to him and leaving them with nothing. But he promises that he will share his percentage with her. CLIFF comes up and tells JACK off while the radio broadcasts the news of BOBBY´s close-to-death condition...BOBBY JAMES EWING dies a few hours later at DALLAS MEMORIAL Hospital. The whole family, including PAM and JENNA, but not SUE ELLEN, gather around BOBBY´s bed, after being submitted to surgery to try to heal his serious inner injuries.

“All that wasted time…” he whispers to PAM, “we could have been married...” “Be a family”, he begs, just before to expire.
