(Continúa el reparto protagonista de la etapa anterior, más la reincorporación de PATRICK DUFFY como BOBBY y, también en la cabecera, DACK RAMBO, aunque sólo intervndrá en un total de 15 episodios. Ésta será, sin embargo, la última temporada para VICTORIA PRINCIPAL y SUSAN HOWARD. Ninguno de los actores invitados permanece en los 29 episodios, y algunos, como DEBORAH SHELTON y JENILEE HARRISON, desaparecen al cabo de una quincena de episodios, mientras que STEVE FORREST retoma su papel de la 8ª temporada con otro nombre, WES PARMALEE, en el 2º episodio. Además, entra en el 6º como actriz invitada SHEREE J. WILSON en el papel de APRIL STEVENS, futura esposa de BOBBY, y el personaje más longevo de esta última fase de la serie. Se mantienen todos los secundarios fijos.
The main cast of the previous season remained in the opening, plus PATRICK DUFFY back as BOBBY and, now starring too, DACK RAMBO, though only for some 15 episodes. However, this was the last season for both VICTORIA PRINCIPAL and SUSAN HOWARD. None of the co-stars appeared in all 29 episodes; some of them, like DEBORAH SHELTON and JENILEE HARRISON, disappeared at half-season. SHELTON came back for the last episodes while STEVE FORREST reprised his Season 8 role with a different name, WES PARMALEE, from Episode 2 on. Also starring from 6 on, was actress SHEREE J. WILSON playing APRIL STEVENS, BOBBY´s future wife and the show´s longest character in the latter years. All the regular cast remains the same.)

El aborto de DONNA y la trama de los KREBBS relacionada con los niños con Síndrome de Down. El paso de SUE ELLEN por el sanatorio y su nuevo empleo en la fundación GRAISON. Toda la historia que incluye a MATT CANTRELL y la mina de esmeraldas en COLOMBIA. El regreso de PATRICIA, la madre de SUE ELLEN. La muerte de SUE ELLEN a causa de la explosión de una bomba en la EWING OIL. PAM trabajando hombro con hombro con J.R. en la EWING OIL.
Tramas de finales de la 7ª temporada que se descartan: El regreso de DUSTY a la vida de SUE ELLEN, a pesar de que un par de escenas con JARED MARTIN no pertenecían al sueño propiamente dicho. La amenaza de la vengadora KATHERINE, aunque el penúltimo episodio había terminado con ella, y en "El canto del cisne" también había aparecido antes del comienzo del sueño.
Tramas de la Etapa-Sueño que se reciclan: El retorno de un anciano vaquero que parece ser el difunto JOCK EWING (sólo cambiará su nombre: de BEN STIVERS pasará a llamarse WES PARMALEE). El negocio de cruce de caballos de CLAYTON y RAY. La muerte de JAMIE EWING. PAM ve cómo "resucita" uno de los hombres de su vida. Los enfrentamientos verbales entre SUE ELLEN y MANDY. El ansia de J.R. y CLIFF por conseguir las acciones de JACK en la EWING OIL. La ruptura de J.R. y MANDY, y la partida de ésta de Dallas. J.R. arriesga su vida para salvar a otra persona (JACK en la Etapa-Sueño, JOHN ROSS en la 9ª). La EWING OIL pasa por serios problemas (en la 8ª, a causa de la MARINOS, en la 9ª, a causa de la WESTSTAR).

Las discusiones de RAY y DONNA sobre su matrimonio y el hijo que esperan. El desinterés de CLIFF por JAMIE después de su fracaso en el juicio. El alcoholismo de SUE ELLEN (sólo en el primer episodio doble).

Dream Season storylines that were discarded: The whole story about ANGELICA NERO and the MARINOS shipping company. JACK and JENNA´s blossoming romance. DONNA´s abortion and the KREBBSES´ plot related to the children suffering Down Syndrom. SUE ELLEN´s stay at the sanitarium and her new job at GRAISON RESEARCH. The whole story including MATT CANTRELL and the Colombian emerald mine. The return of SUE ELLEN´s mother PATRICIA. SUE ELLEN´s death caused by the blast of a bomb at EWING OIL. PAM working shoulder to shoulder with J.R. at EWING OIL.
Latter Season 7 storylines that were discarded: The return of DUSTY to SUE ELLEN´s life, though a couple of scenes with JARED MARTIN did NOT belong to the dream itself. The menace of vengeful KATHERINE, even though the penultimate episode had finished with a rear shot of hers, and on "Swan Song" she had also appeared before the dream began.
Dream Season storylines that were recycled: The return of the elderly cowboy who seems to be presumably late JOCK EWING (only his name changed from BEN STIVERS to WES PARMALEE). The horse cutting business of CLAYTON and RAY. JAMIE EWING´s death. PAM seeing one of the men in her life "come back to life". SUE ELLEN´s and MANDY's verbal confrontations. J.R. and CLIFF longing to get JACK´s EWING OIL share. J.R. and MANDY breaking up, and her leaving Dallas. J.R. jeopardizing his life to save another person (JACK on the Dream Season, JOHN ROSS on S. 9). EWING OIL goes through serious trouble (on S. 8, caused by MARINOS, in S. 9, caused by WESTSTAR).
Latter Season 7 storylines/scenes that were recycled: PAM kisses BOBBY goodbye "the morning after" (see pics above). RAY and DONNA´s arguments about their marriage and the baby they are expecting. CLIFF disdaining JAMIE after the court sentence. SUE ELLEN drinking (only on the first two episodes).

PAM descubre que la muerte de BOBBY fue una pesadilla, así como todo lo ocurrido después, hasta su boda con MARK y la explosión de la EWING OIL.
"Ya se acabó" - le dice BOBBY cuando sale de la ducha - "Nada de eso ha ocurrido." J.R. y CLIFF reaccionan muy mal ante su futura boda, y ambos ansían el 10% de JACK:
"JENNA hubiera sido una esposa perfecta para ti - dice J.R. - "en lugar de esa BARNES." Pero BOBBY contraataca: "PAM y yo nos casaremos otra vez, y si haces algo para impedirlo, SUE ELLEN se convertirá en una viuda muy atractiva."
Tampoco JENNA y CHARLIE responden bien a la noticia de la boda de BOBBY:
"He amado a PAM desde el día que la conocí, siempre la he amado y siempre la amaré..." - le dice él. RAY compra un rancho para DONNA. CLIFF le roba a JAMIE una idea que presenta como si fuera suya. J.R. promete a MANDY que SUE ELLEN se marchará de Southfork y confía a BOBBY que deberían librarse de JACK.
PAM finds out that Bobby´s death was a nightmare, as well as all that happened later, up until her wedding to MARK and the blast of the EWING OIL offices.
"It´s over“ - BOBBY tells her when he comes out of the shower - None of that happened." J.R. and CLIFF have a very negative reaction to the news of the couple´s future marriage, while they go after the 10% Ewing Oil share owned by JACK:
"JENNA would make a perfect wife for you“ - J.R. says - “not that BARNES woman." But BOBBY strikes back: "PAM and I are getting married again and if you do anything to interfere SUE ELLEN is going to be a very attractive widow." Neither JENNA nor CHARLIE respond well to the news about BOBBY´s wedding:
"I've loved PAM since the first day I saw her, I always have, I always will..." - he tells her. RAY buys a ranch for DONNA. CLIFF steals JAMIE an idea he presents as his own. J.R. promises MANDY that SUE ELLEN will leave Southfork and confides BOBBY that they should get rid of JACK.
2/224: "RETURN TO CAMELOT" (II)

La crisis del petróleo lleva a los independientes a formar una Comisión de Energía, encabezada por DONNA, para defenderse de los bajos precios del crudo árabe. MANDY y SUE ELLEN se encuentran en un restaurante por casualidad:
"No me digas que J.R. te deja salir de la cama el tiempo suficiente para ir a comer...No tardará mucho en cansarse de ti y empezará a llamar a mi puerta otra vez." - dice una sarcástica SUE ELLEN.
"¿Cansarse de mí? Soy mucho más joven que tú, Sue Ellen. Soy más guapa, J.R. desea mi cuerpo, en la cama y fuera de ella. J.R me dijo que tenías un problema con el alcohol y puedo ver que es cierto." Un obrero del EWING 12 provoca una explosión en el campo. J.R. intenta que DONNA se vaya a Washington para defender los intereses de los petroleros y propone su nombre en una reunión pública. JENNA se marcha de SOUTHFORK en contra de los deseos de CHARLIE. SUE ELLEN contrata a un detective para que espíe a J.R. y MANDY...
The oil crisis makes the independent oil barons to create an Energy Commission led by DONNA, in order to defend themselves from the Arabian crude prices. MANDY and SUE ELLEN meet at a restaurant by chance:
"Don´t tell me JR let you out of bed long enough to have lunch! It won't be long before J.R. gets tired of you and starts knockin' on my bedroom door again" - a sarcastic SUE ELLEN says. But a remark from MANDY stimulates her to quit drinking:
"Tired of me? I'm years younger than you, Sue Ellen. Prettier. JR loves my body. In bed and out!. J.R told me you had an alcohol problem and I can see it's true." A handwork from EWING 12 explodes an oil rig there. J.R. tries to take DONNA to Washington so she can defend the oilmen´s interests and he proposes her name at a public meeting. JENNA leaves SOUTHFORK against CHARLIE´s wishes. SUE ELLEN hires a detective to spy on J.R. and MANDY...

Por ejemplo, una segunda escena de desayuno en SOUTHFORK con las mujeres EWING.
NOTE: CBS aired this episode on a special two-hour premiere, along with the previous episode. However it was shown as 2 single episodes in Spain and the rest of non-USA countries and therefore a few short scenes were lost, even for the DVD version. For instance, a second breakfast scene at SOUTHFORK with the EWING wives.

ELLIE invita a cenar a JACK, J.R. medita una descabellada idea y RAY propone a JENNA, instalada en una vieja casa, que se vayan a vivir con él...JEREMY hace una propuesta de negocios a J.R. y Bobby. SUE ELLEN explica a ELLIE que ha tomado la determinación de aprender a manejar a J.R. CLIFF confiesa a JAMIE que nada funciona entre ellos. J.R. prohíbe a Jack que vuelva a SOUTHFORK. PARMALEE interroga a RAY sobre su relación con los EWING. J.R. intenta encontrar una solución a la pésima situación de la industria...
SUE ELLEN schemes to scare MANDY away from J.R., and acquires a lingerie company. RAY hires a mysterious foreman for the ranch called WES PARMALEE. ELLIE invites JACK to dinner, J.R. plots an outrageous plan and RAY invites JENNA, who is staying at an old house, to move in with him. JEREMY makes a business proposal to J.R. and Bobby. SUE ELLEN tells ELLIE that she made up her mind to learn how to handle J.R. CLIFF confesses JAMIE that nothing works out between them. J.R. forbids JACK to come back to SOUTHFORK. PARMALEE questions Ray about his relationship with the EWINGS. J.R. tries to find a solution for the awful situation of the oil business...

El responsable del atentado del pozo acaba suicidándose y su viuda culpa de ello a los EWING. JACK llega por fin a un acuerdo con CLIFF, que no sabe cómo deshacer su unión con JAMIE.JENNA confiesa involuntariamente a PAM que no puede olvidar a BOBBY. ELLIE tiene el presentimiento de que ya conoce a WES. SUE ELLEN quiere que MANDY sea la Chica Valentine y tiene muy claro lo que busca:
"La Chica Valentine debe exclamar: "¡Vendo sexo!" Por eso está ahí, y para eso vale". Finalmente, ELLIE descubre en el cuarto de WES algo asombroso: la hebilla de JOCK y las cartas que le enviaba antes de morir...
The worker responsible for the rig attack ends up killing himself and his widow blames the EWINGS on it. JACK gets to an agreement with CLIFF, who doesn´t know how to annul his marriage to JAMIE. JENNA unwillingly confesses to PAM that she can´t forget BOBBY. ELLIE feels that she met WES before. SUE ELLEN wants MANDY to become the Valentine Girl, and is very specific about what she is looking for:
"The Valentine Girl must claim: "I´m selling sex!!" That´s what she´s there for, that´s what she´s good for!" Finally, ELLIE discovers something amazing in WES´s room: JOCK's belt and the letters he sent to her before he died...

J.R. se enfrenta con SUE ELLEN por el asunto del detective que seguía a MANDY, que decide aceptar el trabajo como Chica Valentine. DONNA se sorprende cuando telefonea a RAY desde WASHINGTON y JENNA coge el teléfono. J.R. decide entrevistarse con el mercenario B.D. CALHOUN. Finalmente, ELLIE acude con PUNK ANDERSON a casa de WES...
ELLIE orders WES to quit the ranch when he keeps on pretending he is late JOCK EWING. RAY decides to meet him but he can´t dissipate his doubts. J.R. confronts SUE ELLEN about the detective who was following MANDY, and the latter decides to accept the job as Valentine Girl. DONNA gets a shock when she phones RAY from WASHINGTON D.C. and JENNA answers. J.R. decides to meet the mercenary B.D. CALHOUN. In the end, ELLIE visits WES accompanied by PUNK ANDERSON...

PUNK está confundido y no sabe si WES podría ser JOCK. Los EWING se abalanzan sobre WES para alejarlo de DALLAS, incluyendo a un ofendido CLAYTON. J.R. descubre con horror que MANDY trabaja para la VALENTINE, al ver una foto suya en un periódico, y se propone averiguar quién se encuentra detrás...JACK se reencuentra con su ex mujer APRIL, que le trae malas noticias para su economía.
J.R. contacta con el mercenario B.D. CALHOUN. Cuando WES visita la EWING OIL, alude a la 1ª mujer de JOCK, AMANDA, y a su accidente de caza, y deja boquiabiertos a los hermanos EWING...
PUNK is confused and doesn´t know if WES might actually be JOCK. The EWINGS, including a hurt CLAYTON, quickly try to get WES off DALLAS. J.R. is terrified to learn that MANDY works for VALENTINE when he sees her picture in a newspaper, and he intends to find out who is behind it...JACK is surprised to meet his ex-wife APRIL, who is bringing bad news for his finances.
J.R. meets B. D. CALHOUN. When WES calls on EWING OIL, he mentions JOCK´s first wife AMANDA and his own hunting incident, which gets the EWING brothers open-mouthed...

CLIFF y J.R. conocen a APRIL, cada uno por su lado...J.R. financia una operación de sabotaje de los campos árabes, SUE ELLEN hace una visita a WES, BOBBY empieza a preocuparse por las amistades de CHARLIE y JENNA recibe una noticia de su médico...
WES is determined to legally regain what he had before, including ELLIE. DONNA asks RAY if he is having an affair with JENNA. CLIFF and J.R. get to know APRIL, separately...J.R. finances a sabotage operation at the Arabian oil fields, SUE ELLEN pays a visit on WES, BOBBY is beginning to worry about CHARLIE´s friends and JENNA learns something through her doctor...

Los informes médicos confirman que WES podría ser JOCK. JAMIE sorprende a CLIFF a punto de besar a APRIL. B.D. telefonea a J.R. justo antes de provocar una explosión de prueba:
"Escucha esto, J.R." - le dice dirigiendo el teléfono hacia el lugar de la explosión. "¿Qué ha sido eso?" - pregunta J.R. "El sonido que hace el precio del petróleo cuando sube." El embarazo de JENNA amenaza la boda de PAM; en plena ceremonia, se presenta WES y ELLIE accede a verlo más tarde. Una discusión con DONNA lleva a RAY a enfrentarse con BOBBY el día de la boda:
"¿Cómo puedes casarte con PAM cuando es JENNA quien espera un hijo tuyo?" - le dice, sin darse cuenta de que PAM está de pie, delante de la puerta.
The medical reports confirm that WES might be JOCK. JAMIE is surprised to find CLIFF about to kiss APRIL. B.D. phones J.R. just before to make a test explosion:
"Listen to this J.R." - he says as he heads the phone towards the explosion site. "What was that?" - J.R. asks. "The sound of oil prices going up." JENNA´s pregnancy threatens PAM´s wedding; WES comes up at the wedding and ELLIE agrees to meet him later. An argument with DONNA makes RAY confront BOBBY right before the ceremony:
"How can you be marrying Pam when you're carrying Jenna's baby?" - he says, unaware that PAM is standing at the door.

J.R. intenta, sin éxito, anular la boda, al enterarse a través de RAY del embarazo de JENNA:
"¿De verdad prefieres a esa BARNES a tu propia sangre?" "J.R., si no te callas, verás más sangre de la que nunca has visto... " CLIFF tiene la misma actitud: "Te diriges al mismísimo infierno..." Después de la ceremonia, la familia comenta la situación:
"Creo que PAM ha demostrado tener mucho valor al proseguir con la ceremonia." - afirma CLAYTON. "Lo único que la novia ha demostrado es una falta de amor propio" - corrige J.R., a lo cual responde SUE ELLEN: "Mira quién habla, el hombre que escribió un libro sobre amor propio." DONNA añade a su vez: "Las mujeres embarazadas y solas parecen estar de moda últimamente..." RAY lo oye y contesta: "JENNA no quería estar sola." DONNA dice con malicia: "Quizá no estará sola..." JENNA rechaza la ayuda de BOBBY, ELLIE se entrevista con WES, PAM lamenta no haber podido darle un hijo a BOBBY y los EWING reciben malas noticias sobre WES PARMALEE...
J.R. tries to cancel the wedding off unsuccessfully when he knows about JENNA´s pregnancy through RAY:
"You really want that Barnes woman over your own flesh and blood?" "J.R., if you don't be quiet you're going to see more flesh and blood than you ever dreamed of... " So does CLIFF: "You´re walking straight to hell..."
Right after the ceremony, the family comment about it:
"I think PAM showed great spunk for going on with the wedding" - CLAYTON says. "The only thing the bride showed was a lack of self-respect" - J.R. corrects, to which SUE ELLEN responds: "Let´s hear it for the man who wrote the book on self-respect" DONNA also adds: "Pregnant women alone seem to be the fashion these days!“ RAY hears it and tells her: "JENNA didn´t want to be alone." DONNA says maliciously: "Maybe she won´t be." JENNA rejects BOBBY´s help, ELLIE holds a meeting with WES, PAM is sorry she couldn´t give a son to BOBBY and the EWINGS get bad news about PARMALEE...

La CIA va tras la pista de B.D. y advierte a J.R. que se mantenga lejos de él. JACK accede a venderle a CLIFF su 10 %, mientras J.R. cita a APRIL en lo alto del Edificio EWING. En el Baile de los Barones del Petróleo, RAY regala a JENNA un anillo de compromiso y WES se presenta como el nuevo dueño de la EWING OIL. CLAYTON acaba amenazándole con matarle si resulta no ser JOCK.
CIA is going after B.D. and warns J.R. to keep himself away from him. JACK agrees to sell CLIFF his 10% share while J.R. makes an appointment with APRIL at the top of the EWING Building. The disappearance of SUE ELLEN makes everybody think that she has been drinking again, but J.R. gets some pictures where she is a compromised position with B.D. and this dissipates his doubts. He decides to catch him with RAY and BOBBY´s help. JENNA is missing RAY and he gets depressed when sees DONNA with ANDREW...Eventually, CALHOUN shows off his cards:
"What kind of a man do you take me for? I wouldn't dream of letting him watch you die. Matter of fact, I'm not even gonna kill you...no sir...what I'm gonna do is...kill him, and let you watch him die!!"

"Whatever problems we've had in our lives, I just want you to know that I have loved you." "I know that, and I have loved you" - she admits. "More than I deserved." - J.R. adds. "La Ewing Oil debería haber muerto con vuestro padre" - les dice a ambos. PAM retira su apoyo a CLIFF. Un día, WENDELL aparece en casa de NANCY SCOTTFIELD:
"Esa familia ha supuesto para mí una espina clavada desde que tengo uso de razón." - le confía, con mucho interés.
A local piece of news calls JEREMY´s attention and exposes that CIA filed B.D.´s case. RAY visits DONNA and their baby daughter up in WASHINGTON. SUE ELLEN gets MANDY back to DALLAS and APRIL is besieged by both J.R. and JEREMY after the trial is over. ELLIE gives upon protecting her sons in the business:
"As far as Ewing Oil goes, it should have died with your daddy" - she says to her sons. PAM backs off her support to CLIFF. One day, WENDELL shows up at NANCY SCOTTFIELD´s home:
"That family has been a thorn in my side for as long I can remember" - he confides, really interested.

DONNA reports ELLIE about the Government´s intentions about the company, due to NANCY´s revelation to JEREMY. "You bastard, you´re poison!!“ CLAYTON shouts out to J.R. before jumping out on him.

Pero me da la impresión que no habrá una Winger en su futuro. Eres tan desechable como una toallita desmaquilladora." ELLIE averigua que CLAYTON había tenido otro ataque años antes, y JENNA ha dado a luz a su hijo con BOBBY y RAY en el hospital. Cuando JEREMY acude a las oficinas para ver derrotado a J.R. defeated, recibe una advertencia:
"¡WENDELL! Toca ese cuadro y te mato ahí mismo..." J.R. asegura a JOHN ROSS que JOCK siempre será la EWING OIL, y PAM, que acaba de saber que podría quedar embarazada, sufre un grave accidente de coche, al chocar contra un camión de gas butano...
J.R. loses EWING OIL and discovers that JEREMY is responsible for it. Angry about the picture that links her husband to MANDY, SUE ELLEN annuls her contract with VALENTINE:
"I'm cutting you off you viper! Come to help me? You came to help yourself to my husband! - SUE ELLEN tells her- You know MANDY, I am really glad we had this little chat because for the first time I truly realize it is not J.R who needs you but you who needs J.R. But I have a feeling there isn't a Winger in his future. You're as disposable as a used piece of facial tissue." ELLIE is told that CLAYTON had had another heart attack ten years before and JENNA has given birth to her baby boy with BOBBY and RAY at the hospital. When JEREMY goes to the offices to see J.R. defeated, he is warned:
"WENDELL! You touch that picture and I'll kill you where you stand." - J.R. assures JOHN ROSS that JOCK will always be EWING OIL, and PAM, who has just learned that she might be able to carry a baby full-term, has a serious car accident when she clashes into a butane gas truck...
