169 - oil barons´ ball III

November 16, 1984: The Ewings and the Barneses attended the Annual Oil Barons´ Ball, each with their respective couple. J.R. had his (sober) wife Sue Ellen by his side, with an eye looking at Cliff´s new girlfriend Mandy Winger. Bobby went with Jenna Wade, Clayton with his new wife the mutant matriarch, I mean, Miss Ellie (Donna Reed), Pam accepted the company of Cliff´s friend (and Jeremy Wendell´s spy) Dave Stratton (Christopher Stone) and Lucy...well, Lucy stayed home because "she didn´t care about that kind of things anymore", as she said to John Ross, and now preferred waiting tables at a place called "The Hot Biscuit" (sic). When J.R. overheard Pam talking to Mandy about her feelings toward Bobby, he took the microphone (literally) and announced his brother´s wedding to "the only woman he´s ever loved", Priscilla Presley, aka Jenna Wade. But that wedding never happened...

23 de noviembre de 1987 (en Cataluña): Los Ewings y los Barnes asistían al Baile Anual de los Petroleros, cada uno con su pareja. J.R. iba con su (sobria) mujer Sue Ellen pero un ojo puesto en la nueva novia de Cliff, Mandy Winger. Bobby tenía a Jenna Wade, Clayton a su nueva esposa mutante, es decir, a Ellie (Donna Reed), Pam había accedido a ir con el amigo de Cliff (y espía de Jeremy Wendell) Dave Stratton (Christopher Stone), y Lucy...bueno, Lucy se quedó en casa porque "ya no le importaban ese tipo de cosas", como explicó a John Ross, y ahora prefería atender mesas en un bar llamado "The Hot Biscuit" (o sea, la "galleta caliente"...). Cuando J.R. oía por casualidad a Pam hablando con Mandy de sus sentimientos hacia Bobby, cogía el micrófono (literalmente) y anunciaba la boda de su hermano con "la única mujer que ha querido": Priscilla Presley, aka Jenna Wade. Pero aquella boda nunca se celebró...ni siquiera en las pesadillas de Pam. Uno de los mejores episodios de la temporada 7, seguramente el último gran año de "Dallas".
