281 - the fat lady singeth

May 13, 1988: J.R. Ewing was shot AGAIN on "Dallas", and, this time, quite obviously, by his still but future ex-wife Sue Ellen for keeping their son away from her. A few minutes earlier, he and her lover Nicholas Pearce (Jack Scalia) had started a fight at J.R.´s new penthouse (whose façade looked suspiciously like Alexis´ one on "Dynasty") and, during the quarrel, Nicholas fell off the balcony, all the way down. After shooting J.R. to get revenge, she herself had called the police to report "a double murder"...Freeze frame and end of the tenth season of the show. In the same episode, Jenna and Ray had decided to move to Europe as a way to overcome their marital crisis (i.e. his cheating with a psycho girl!). Also, Cliff learnt that Pam had been seen in Houston, and Bobby refused to go and bring her back; Lucy, who had just returned to Dallas, was using her loser magnet again and felt attracted to Casey Denault (Andrew Stevens). This was the last good season finale of "Dallas", but its resolution turned out to be a big disappointment the next fall, because Sue Ellen, after shooting J.R. three times, had missed almost all of them and he was practically intact!

3 de febrero de 1990 (en Cataluña): Disparaban contra J.R. Ewing OTRA VEZ en "Dallas" y, en esta ocasión veíamos quién había sido: su aún esposa pero pronto ex, Sue Ellen, por haber alejado a su hijo de ella. Unos minutos antes, él y el amante de Sue Ellen, Nicholas Pearce (Jack Scalia) se habían enzarzado en una pelea en el nuevo ático del primero (cuya fachada recordaba poderosamente al de Alexis en "Dinastía") y Nicholas terminaba cayendo por el balcón hasta el mismo asfalto. Tras disparar contra J.R. como venganza, ella misma llamaba a la policía para informar de "un doble asesinato"...Imagen congelada y fin de la 10ª temporada de la serie. En el mismo episodio, Jenna y Ray habían decidido ir a vivir a Europa para intentar superar su crisis matrimonial (o sea, que él la había engañado con una chica psicópata...). Además, Cliff se enteraba de que habían visto a Pam en Houston pero Bobby se negaba a ir a buscarla, y Lucy, que acababa de regresar a Dallas, seguía usando su imán de perdedores y se lanzaba a por Casey Denault (Andrew Stevens). Este fue el último buen final de temporada de "Dallas", aunque su resolución supuso una gran decepción, el otoño siguiente, ya que Sue Ellen, que había disparado tres tiros a J.R., había fallado casi todos y él estaba prácticamente intacto.
