Friday-FALL BREAK-No School! FB vs. Peabody @ 7:30; We will meet at Peabody @ 6:15.
Saturday-Davy Crockett Parade @ 2:00; Union City Marching Invitational. We will beet at12:30 for immediate departure to Rutherford.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! That's all Mr. Tate knows to say for everyone's help yesterday at our contest! Luckily the rain held off and you all hosted a FANTASTIC event! Multiple band directors, parents, and students have complimented you on this great event we host each year. We couldn't do this without each and every one of you!

Butter Braided Bread sales BEGIN THIS WEEK! Orders and money will be due October 21. Each student will be asked to sell at least 5 loaves of bread or get $25 in donations.
Fall Break is THIS WEEK! NO SCHOOL FRIDAY OR MONDAY. Enjoy a little time off!
We have a football game this Friday @ Peabody. We will meet around the Dyersburg State building Friday @ 6:15. If a student does not have a ride to get there, Mr. Tate will be at the school until 6 if a student needs a ride. We will wear full uniforms. No ride home forms are necessary for this event. You can pick up your child around the truck after the game is over.
Due to no school on Friday, we will stop rehearsal early Thursday to load the truck.
Saturday we have the Davy Crockett Parade and the Union City Contest. We will meet at12:30 for immediate departure to Rutherford. After the parade, students will have the opportunity to visit the vendors and eat before leaving for rehearsal (STUDENTS WILL NEED $ TO EAT FROM THE VENDORS). Mr. Tate has emailed the director for Obion Co. to see if we can use their practice field to rehearse after the parade. If not, we will look at other rehearsal options. See the attached itinerary for exact details. Ride Home Forms are due NO LATER THAN THURSDAY @ 5 p.m. due to no school Friday!
Be sure if you have not made your October band fee payment this past week that you get it in ASAP!
We travel to the Austin Peay Contest NEXT SATURDAY! This is an overnight trip for the band. Each student will be required to pay his/her portion of their hotel room. That will be sent in an email tomorrow. Checks should be made to the band and are due no later than Tuesday, October 16! Each student is required to stay overnight with the band. NO EXCEPTIONS. You can check your child out on Sunday morning if you want them to ride home with you. More details coming in next week's announcements
Upcoming Dates:
Monday, October 14th - NO SCHOOL! NO REHEARSALS!
Tuesday, October 15th - Guard & Percussion will have sectionals after rehearsal from 5-6
Friday, October 18th - FB vs. South Fulton @ 7:30. This 8th grade night. We will meet at6:00 for rehearsal with the 8th graders.
Saturday, October 19th - Austin Peay Contest (overnight trip) - We will meet early that Saturday morning for immediate departure.
