· This is what you need to have with you every day for band class

o Black 1/2inch binder with sheet protectors (I will provide)
· Reminder that I will be opening the band room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 for those that want to come in and practice or receive help. Make sure you let me know ahead of time if you are coming so that I can let Coach Taylor and Officer Tosh know.
· We will have a leadership meeting tomorrow right after school. This should only last about 20 minutes. This will be for anyone wanting to hold a leadership position for next school year.
· This is our final week before our concert. We need to have everyone there for your after school rehearsals as these are the dress rehearsals.
· ALL BAND BANQUET FORMS AND MONEY ARE DUE NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY AT 3PM!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
· We will move to the theater at the beginning of class on Tuesday.
· With us having marching band on Fridays, you must have tennis shoes on and be prepared to go outside. We not only have to worry about our parade music but we also have mass band. All parade music has to be memorized as well as Amazing Grace. There will be 3 total parade tunes plus our Amazing Grace.
· We will begin our first of 4 memorization tests this week. Make sure that you are prepared.
· We have our pops concert this Sunday and the 7/8 grade band will be joining us on our last piece!!! We will set up buckets for donations at the concert.
· We are approaching our first couple of summer rehearsals. We need to make sure that everyone is fitted at the first two rehearsals for their Performance uniform and for their parade uniform for next year. The one on the 20th is also 8th grade graduation so we will need to make sure that we have those students taken care of on the first night. The biggest thing is to get fitted for your top and your shako cover. We can do the bibs and things during band camp if needed.
· We will be attending the DCI show on July 25th again this year. Those of you wanting a ticket be on the lookout for a google form later this week so that I can get an accurate number. Once I purchase the tickets you will be responsible for paying the band back for them.
· We will begin taking band fees for next season at the first summer rehearsal on May 13th. The fee will be the same as this past season $400 for the band fee. The only difference is that it will be paid to the school this year and not the boosters. I will be collecting money throughout the first two summer rehearsals. We will be doing cash and check only for the first couple until we get the things set up to do card/online.
· I will be sending out handbooks and things for the upcoming season at the start of May. You will also need to sign up for next seasons band app group which will be in that packet. That is the quickest way to get information out.
· Reminder that all performances are required.
