Announcements:
GREAT JOB by all 13 students who auditioned for All-West this past Saturday in Jackson! All of them were well-prepared and represented our band program quite well! I am proud of each of them for all of their hard work and dedication! A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Taylor Pannell (Blue Band - 2nd chair), Kelly Landrum (Blue Band - 7th chair), Maddie Welch (Red Band - 3rd chair), Darcie Halliburton (1st alternate), and Caitlin Watts (3rd alternate) for being selected to participate or an alternate to participate in the All-West clinic to be held in Memphis February 11-13! There were over 2400 students who auditioned on Saturday and by them being selected signifies they are one of the best musicians on their instrument in all of West TN!!!
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Kelly Landrum and Taylor Pannell!!! They scored so high at the All-West auditions on Saturday that they were selected to participate (Kelly) or an alternate to participate (Taylor) in the All-State Music Educators Convention to be held in Nashville in April! This signifies them as one of the BEST musicians in the entire state of Tennessee!!! What a great accomplishment by these two students! This is the first time that someone from Gibson County has been selected to participate in All-State since 2010!

Calendar Change:
We had a mass band directors' meeting this morning in Humboldt. Due to 2 schools scheduling their proms on the original mass band rehearsal date of April 23rd we have had to move the mass band rehearsal to Saturday, April 30th immediately following the Teapot Parade. The Strawberry Festival committee will feed the students as soon as they arrive in Humboldt for lunch and we will begin rehearsal around 2:30 and finish up around 7:30 that evening. That Saturday will be a FULL DAY so mark your calendars accordingly. The date has been changed on the website calendar. More details will be coming the closer we get to that date.
