· The Memorization Test over the parade tune "Jupiter" is TOMORROW during class! This grade is worth 33% of the student's grade for the nine weeks. If he/she doesn't memorize the tune, he/she will NOT march in either of the parades and will FAIL band for the nine weeks. Please be sure your student is prepared for tomorrow!

· Band Banquet Tickets go on sale TOMORROW! Tickets are $12 each. Band students are admitted FREE but they must RSVP with Mr. Tate NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 3 or they will NOT be admitted into the banquet. Send your money in an envelope with your student's name, number of tickets and "Band Banquet Tickets" on the front. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS DO THEY ARE NOT CONFUSED WITH BALL GAME TICKETS. Remember 8th graders through juniors may purchase up to 2 tickets and seniors may purchase up to 3 tickets. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, May 3 or you will NOT be allowed to attend the banquet!

· Jazz Band meets TOMORROW from 3:15-4:30 in the band room as they prepare for the final performance of the year. They will perform at the Teapot Festival Music Feast NEXT TUESDAY!

· The color guard will have an abbreviated clinic tomorrow from 3:30-4:30 in the main gym.

· Fall 2013 Percussion Clinics continue TOMORROW from 5-7 p.m. in the band room. With parade band rehearsals beginning, percussion clinics will ONLY be on Monday!

· The first parade band after-school rehearsal will be THIS TUESDAY from 3:15-5:00 in the band room. This rehearsal is for Non-Concert band members only (except color guard). All color guard members will meet! Remember ALL parade band rehearsals are REQUIRED in order for a non-concert band member to attend the Band Banquet unless they are involved in a MAJOR spring sport.

· Fall 2013 Drum Major Clinic will be held THIS WEDNESDAY from 3:45-5:45 in the band room. All interested students must turn in his/her audition fee along wiht the signed contract no later than TOMORROW!! The clinic is mandatory to audition the following Wednesday.

· This Thursday will be a parade band after-school rehearsal for EVERYONE from 3:15-5:00! Both concert and non-concert band members MUST ATTEND! This is a grade for concert band members and REQUIRED for everyone who wished to march in the parades and attend the banquet. Parade band rehearsals will last until Mr. Tate gets everything done needed to be prepared for the parades. Sometimes this may be 4:30 and sometimes we may go the entire time until 5 p.m. If we quit early, he will be there until 5 for parents to pick up their child if you are not able to get there early.

· This Friday is the LAST DAY to purchase a voucher for a reserved seat at next week's GC Band Night at the Jackson General's game. The game time is 7:05 at Pringles Park in Jackson. Vouchers are $10 each and can be redeemed at the ticket office once you arrive for a reserved seat at the game. Remember $5 of each ticket sold goes into your child's trip account or the general fund is your child is not going on the 4year trip. YOU MUST PURCHASE YOUR VOUCHERS IN ADVANCE FOR THE BAND TO RECEIVE CREDIT!! Send your money NO LATER THAN THIS FRIDAY WITH THE ENVELOPE LABLED JACKSON GENERALS GAME.Students will have to be at hte game no later than 6:20 on May 3. The bus will leave the high school at 5:30 and return after the game. If a student rides the bust to the game and rides home with you, they MUST have a ride home form. We will wear khaki shorts and polos!!!

· Memory Book Balances are due no later than NEXT FRIDAY, MAY 3 in order to receive them at the banquet.
