• Welcome back after snowpocalypse 2024!!!!

• We have a lot to catch up on since we have been gone for over a week! It is imperative that you practice your concert music outside of class time. We want to score as high as possible at concert festival. The only way for us to do that is for you to practice! ONE BAND ONE SOUND!! WE ARE ONLY AS STRONG AS OUR WEAKEST LINK!!!  

• UTM honor band will be taking place this week Jan 25-27. The band will cover their registration fee, but they will need to pay for their room. Room $$$ is due before we leave on Thursday.

• U of M Honor Band will be taking place next week, Feb. 1-3. Money for rooms will be due next Wednesday Jan. 31.

• All-West will be the following week. Congrats to those who made All-West and congrats to all who auditioned. Just doing that amount of extra work makes our band that much better.

Here is the Percussion Ensemble practice schedule for this spring; if you're not a percussion parent, please disregard.

We will meet every Monday night that we are in school from 5-7 PM. First hour will be fundamentals/warm-ups, second hour will be literature. We are alternating weeks between mallets/accessories and battery until April.

February 12

March 4 and 18

April 1, 8, 15 and 22

Mallets/accessories only:

February 5 and 26

March 11

April 1, 8, 15 and 22
