This Sunday is our annual County-Wide Christmas Concert @ 2 p.m. in the theatre! The students will have to move ALL equipment back to the band room after the high school concert! There will be a booster meeting in the theatre immediately following the high schol concert. This is an EXTREMELY important meeting as we prepare for our 1st annual Winter Guard contest in January. Make plans to stay!
As mentioned above, the ENTIRE BAND will be hosting our 1st Annual Winter Guard contest onJanuary 18th! This is one of two fundraisers we have planned for the entire band for the spring! We have 18 groups signed up to attend this event! This is like a mini marching contest held in the gym at the high school. We will need runners, ticket sillers, concession workers, hospitality workers, parking attendants and much more just like we would at the fall marching contest. WE NEED YOUR HELP! All concert members will be REQUIRED to attend this event. Stick around at the booster meeting NEXT SUNDAY to see how you can be involved or contact Kim Todd! Check out the website: http://scgconline.org/ to see what units will be at our event in January!
The Band Final Exam begins NEXT MONDAY! Be sure your student is prepared as we will begin testing Monday, December 16 and they will not know where we will start. This is a huge portion of their grade for the semester so make sure they are practicing.
All debts should be taken care of by Friday, December 20th or they will be turned over to the office for collection. This is unless payment arrangements have been made. Mr. Tate was planning to post a debt list his past Friday but it will be this week so your child can see what he/she owes!
All other finals exams will be NEXT THURSDAY (2nd & 4th blocks) & FRIDAY (1st & 3rd blocks)! STUDY! STUDY! STUDY!
I believe that's it. Have a great week!
