  • A special THANK YOU to anyone who came to support Darius and the band family this past Wednesday!
  • Fruit/Nut orders are due TOMORROW!  Make sure order forms + $$$ are in a sealed enveloped marked with your student's name and "Fruit/Nuts".  Remember that 25% of the total profit will go towards your student's December NYC Trip Payment.
  • State Championship Ring orders will be placed with Jostens on Tuesday during band class.  Order form (attached) + $60 deposit are due then.  MAKE CHECKS OUT TO JOSTENS AND NOT THE BAND!  
  • UT Martin Honor Band Application Information will be handed out THIS WEEK!  All students wishing to apply for the honor band should complete the application online.
  • All spring ensemble sign-up sheets have been placed on the office window.  Students have between now and next Friday (1st) to sign-up or take their name off of the list.  After that point we will expect them to participate in that ensemble as we start ordering music/supplies for that ensemble.
  • We had 12 students sign-up to take private lessons with Mr. Congiardo!!!  This is a GREAT way for your student to get better in band and ultimately helps the band get better as a whole.  Lessons with Mr. Congiardo will begin the Tuesday we return from Thanksgiving Break.  Lesson times will be discussed tomorrow during band class time.
  • Composite Pictures have been rescheduled for Thursday, November 30th during band class time.
  • Championship DVD orders are due NEXT FRIDAY (1st).  Make checks payable to the band.  See my email from this morning for additional information.
  • Saturday, December 2nd - Dyer Christmas Parade - This is a MANDATORY performance grade!  The parade begins at 5:00.  We will meet at 4:15 at the Tri-City Reporter across from Tate's Exxon.  The band room will be open from 3:30 until 4:00 for student's to pick-up equipment/uniforms.
  • Sunday, December 10th - County-Wide Christmas Concert - 2:00 pm - This is a MANDATORY performance grade!  Students will have to be in the band room at 1:15 in concert attire (NO JEANS, TSHIRTS, TENNIS SHOES, SHORTS, ETC.).  The concert should be over by 3:45 for those of you who have other activities going on that day.  There will be a band booster meeting immediately following the concert.
  • Monday, December 11th - BAND FINAL EXAM BEGINS!!!
  • Tuesday, December 12th - Championship Steak Dinner!  6:30 - First Baptist Dyer - See my email from earlier today for details.
  • December 19th & 20th - FINAL EXAMS in all other classes!  The 20th will be a 1/2 day of school with no meals served in the cafeteria.
  • All debts should be paid in full by the 20th or the debt will be turned over to the office for collection.  Seniors will NOT receive his/her diploma until the debt has been paid.  Freshmen-Juniors will NOT be allowed to attend the first June rehearsal until all debts have been paid.
