• Announcements:

• CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Sharon! Her daughter, Savannah (GC Band Alumni), got engaged this past weekend!

• Good Luck to the 9 students representing the GC Band at next Saturday's All-West auditions that will be held in Memphis! There are over 2400 students auditioning for around 300 spots in the All-West TN Honor Bands. The competition will be tough but our students have been working hard!

• Attached is a revised spring calendar. The revision has to do with a pep band game that was scheduled for the 31st. The percussion section has a performance in Jackson that night so I have moved that pep band performance date to the 23rd. Everything should still be the same. As always the most up-to-date information has been updated to the band's website calendar.

• Jazz Band begins TOMORROW! Jazz Band will rehearse tomorrow from 3:15-4:30 in the band room.

• Band Booster Meeting - TOMORROW NIGHT - 7:00 pm - Band Room - Come as we prepare for the spring semester and a copy of the fall football schedule will be handed out!

• Percussion Ensemble (battery only!) will rehearse on Tuesday & Thursday of this week from 4-6:30in the band room.

• Mr. Congiardo will have an additional lesson on Tuesday of this week for those auditioning for All-West. He will have his regular lessons on Thursday as well.

• We should hear back as to who was selected for the Univ. of Memphis Honor Band on Tuesday. The boosters pay for the registration fee. Room amounts will be determined after the list of selected students is release.

• UT Martin Honor Band students MUST pay for their honor band rooms by THIS FRIDAY! For the guy's the amount is $52/each and the girl's are $69/each.

• All-West auditions will be held this Saturday at Arlington HS in Memphis (Exit 25 off of I-40). Audition times have been posted to the WTSBOA website (www.wtsboa.com). Students are required to find his/her own transportation to the auditions as the we (directors) have to work the event all day (7am-~7pm). Students should plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before his/her audition time and are free to leave immediately following their audition. I will receive score sheets at the end of the day but how those scores fit into the band we will not know until the first of next week so results will not be available until then.

• Report Cards were sent home with students this past Wednesday. Report Cards should be signed and returned to your student's 1st block teacher.

• Attached again is the "Lettering Credit Criteria" since Ms. Sharon could not get it to attach last week. NOTE-I am still trying to get this to attach! Stay tuned!

• Championship Rings should be in soon! I will let you know something as soon as I hear from the Jostens representative. All balances will need to be paid in full BEFORE students will receive his/her ring.
