Project Goals

SWBAT

1. Find TEXTURE / PATTERN images on the INTERNET that apply to a THEME chosen by the student

2...Maintain IMAGE QUALITY for full color printing by finding internet images with LARGE PIXEL DIMENSIONS  or by TILING SMALL images .


2. Texture Verses Object

• Both of these images show the texture of gold

• The one on the left is a better texture image and a better choice for this project

3. Get 5 or More Textures / Patterns

1. Do a Google Image Search for your textures/patterns. You can use the Texture Ideas page to help you find good search words.

2. Use Google Image Search Tools to find large images or tile them

4. Tile Textures/Patterns As Needed

1. Tile your 5 textures and patterns as needed so that they are at least as large as your TEXT layer (See Left)



5.   Arrange Stacking Order

1. Arrange the stacking order of the layers as shown

7.  Extension

1. Use  Textures.com website

8.  Assessment: 6 Texture / Patterns

1. You should have 6 texture / Patterns in total not including the ocean tiling
