1. Lesson Goals

SWBAT

1...choose a subject and plan for their own Caricature illustrations

2....create Caricature PSD files

3....answer planning questions in their PSD files


2. Caricature File Set Up

1. Load Adobe Photoshop

2. File > New

3. In the new file window enter the following information:

Name: "Caricature" followed by your last name and then your first name. Example: Caricature Hooker Martina

Width...............................7.5 Inches

Height...............................9.75 inches

Resolution.........................300

Color Mode........................RGB Color

Background Contents.........Transparent


3. Copy & Paste Planning Questions

1. HIGHLIGHT and COPY the blue planning questions below

2. OPEN your CARICATURE File and use the click and

drag a LARGE RECTANGLE with the TEXT TOOL to

create a TEXT FRAME..

3. Edit > PASTE the planning questions into the TEXT FRAME

(Get bonus points for including more than one figure)

(Do not use a cartoon, anime, or any other drawn/painted/digitally rendered character)


5. Research

1. Google "Interesting facts about..." and include your subject's name

2. Answer the questions provided below on your Caricature.psd file


6. Respond to Caricature Planning Prompts

1. ANSWER the planning QUESTIONS.

2. Refer to the Texture Ideas Page if needed and

4. Don't forget the PEER REVIEW
