1. Lesson Goals

1....create and manage objects in different layers

2....change artboard orientation if needed

3...scale artwork to fill page

4...add and format text

2.  Create New Layer

1. Open your LAYERS panel by finding it in the WINDOW MENU

Window > Layers

2. Create a NEW LAYER by clicking on the NEW LAYER icon

3. Cut and Paste Create Drawing into New Layer

1.  Select your entire creative drawing

2. Choose "CUT" from the EDIT MENU

Edit > Cut

3. CLICK on the NEW LAYER to SELECT it in the LAYERS PANEL

4.  Choose "PASTE" from the EDIT MENU

Edit > Paste

4.  Change Page Orientation if Needed

1. Double click on the ARTBOARD TOOL in the TOOL BOX

2. Change the ORIENTATION from WIDE to TALL



5.  Scale Artwork to Fill Page

1. 

6.  Add Your Name

1. CLICK (do not drag) with the TYPE TOOL to create a TEXT INSERTION POINT

2. Use mixed case and  Include your first and last name

3. FORMAT your TEXT the following way

Font: MYRIAD PRO

Pt Size: 16 PT

1. Save your work before you hand it in!

2. Click on the Submit Folder Link for your class below
