SWBAT:
Use a drawing tablet
Use both the Mixer Brush tool and the Brush tool
Customize brush settings.
Clean the brush.
Mix colors.
Create a custom brush preset.
Use wet and dry brushes to blend color.
Start Photoshop, and then simultaneously hold down
Command+Option+Shift
to restore the default preferences

The folder will download as a compressed .zip file. Double click on it to decompress it.
Open the 10Palette_Start.psd file
File > Save As
Name your file Palette by a SPACE, your LAST name, your FIRST name. Leave the .psd file extension.

Skip the book instructions for using Bridge and naming the file.
Start following steps at the top of Page 243, Step 8
RED: Make sure to show that you used the correct brush setting. Your paint should run out (See Left)
BLUE: Make sure your work shows you explored the TWO DIFFERENT brush settings (See Left)
YELLOW: Again, make sure your work shows you explored the TWO DIFFERENT brush settings (See Left)
GREEN: Make sure to show that you used the correct brush setting. Your paint should run out (See Left)
Open the 10Landscape_Start.jpg file
File > Save As
Name your file Landscape by a SPACE, your LAST name, your FIRST name and then the .jpg file extension. Example:

Start following the instructions on bottom of page 249, Step 1 (not the Step 1 at the top of the page)
Click HERE to view the Lily File
DOWNLOAD it and OPEN it
File > Save As
Name your file Lily by a SPACE, your LAST name, your FIRST name. Leave the .psd file extension.

Add a new layer and name it "Outline Layer"
Decrease & Increase pressure to create THICK & THIN lines
Select the Brush tool (not the Mixer Brush tool)
Go the options bar open the brush settings at the top left: set the diameter to 15 px and the hardness to 100
Further to the right on the options bar, set the SMOOTHING to 60
Click on the Foreground color on the Tools panel to open the COLOR PICKER. Set the Foreground color to black or any other dark color.
Select the OUTLINE LAYER.
Use the DRAWING TABLET and the brush tool to trace a detailed line drawing of the the lily.
Hold the R KEY and rotate your canvas as you draw for better control
Hit the ESCAPE Key to set your canvas back to STRAIGHT
Your drawing should have at least as much detail as the example left
Do a second outline drawing with the Brush Tool or a second photo painting with the Mixer Brush Tool
Upload the following 3 files to Google Classroom
Palette.psd
Landscape.jpg
Lily.psd
Include a Reflection & Self-Grading
Review the RUBRIC GOALS again
Include a REFLECTION in the Private Comments section of this assignment posting: Based on the Rubric Goals, what were you SUCCESSFUL at? What did you STRUGGLE with?
Also include what GRADE you think you deserve.
5 Pts: FILE NAMES: Both Lesson 10 files were named as directed.
20 Pts: TUBE PAINTING: One red, two blue, two yellow, and one green color swatch was painted on the correct layer as directed.
20 Pts: MIXING: The 4 colors on the palette were added/mixed as directed. The 4 colors are on the correct layer and the white circle layer is not visible.
5 Pts: CIB BRUSHES: The CIB Brushes were added
10 Pts: SKY & CLOUDS: A custom brush named "Sky" was created as directed. The Sky brush and the Clouds brush were used to paint the sky as directed.
10 Pts: GRASS PAINTING: The Green Grass Highlight brush, the Brown Grass Highlight brush, and the Foreground Grass brush were used as directed to paint the grass.
10 Pts: TREE PAINTING: The Foreground Tree brush, the Background Tree brush, and the Tree Highlights brush were used as directed to paint the trees.
15 Pts: LILY OUTLINE: The Lily file was named correctly. An outline drawing with the Brush Tool was done in a new layer as directed.
