Monochromatic Portrait 2 Transfer

1. Lesson Goals

SWBAT:

1...transfer outlined shapes and numbered

values from selfie print out onto large grid

2...understand that artists use the grid method to

accurately and proportionately transfer an image

and scale it up.

3...understand that art making often requires

focused and hard work

1. Use a pencil to transfer box-by-box

Example: Transfer A3 into Box A3, etc.

2. Lightly outline the shapes you see in in each box

"Correct" any shapes that look extra "bumpy" by

smoothing out the lines.

1. BREAK UP INTO SMALLER GRIDS

This trick can help you more accurately

transfer boxes with more intricate details

2. TURN PAPERS UPSIDE DOWN

3. OUTLINE SILHOUETTE FIRST
