Lesson Goals
1...identify and describe implied lines.
2...use photo references of fish/birds/Etc
to explore possible textures and designs
for the final animal tessellation project.
3...use gentle and deliberate pressure
to create small and neat stippling marks
2. Stippled Explorations
1. Fold your paper into quarters & write your name and period on it.
2. Choose a fish/bird/reptile/other from one of the print outs
.
3. Lightly outline the shape of animal you chose with a pencil
.
4. Lightly outline some details & designs of the animal with a pencil
.
5. Look carefully at the values on the print out and match each
one to the values on your value scale.
(Assign numbers 1 - 7 if you need to)

6. Carefully and lightly stipple your drawing with very small dots to
allow for the most detail.

7. Include all the details in the photograph without drawing any lines -
just create different areas of stippled values.
