2. The Lasso Tools (P80-83)

1. The Lasso Tool is hard to control because it requires that you have a very steady hand.

2. The Polygonal Lasso Tool is easiest to control because selections get placed only when you are ready and you click.

3. The Magnetic Lasso Tool is good when there  are contrasting colors/values around the selection area

4. Always check the feather setting in the options bar for your selection tool and make it is set to zero for crisp and sharp edges.

How to Fix Mistakes (Optional)

1. Open the 03Working file from the Group Folder

2. Position the two files side-by-side as shown above Window Menu > Arrange > 2 Up Vertical

3. Use the Polygonal Lasso tool to select the part of the 03Start file that you need to replace

4. Use the MOVE tool to drag the selected pixels from the file the 03Start file to your 03Working file

5. Position it where needed

6. Select and delete any pixels that might be covering good parts of your work

7. Flatten your layers. Layer Menu > Flatten Image
