T-Shirt Graphic 3:                       Folders Groups

1. Lesson Goals 

SWBAT:

1..create at least TWO FOLDER GROUPS for an EASIER to use and MORE ORGANIZED layers palette.

2...use the TWO AUTO SELECT options: LAYER and GROUP


2. Create Folder Groups

1. Create a Group Folder by clicking on the icon for it at the bottom of the Layers Palette

2. Choose 2 or more layers that you would like to group

3. Drag them into the folder you created.

4. Click on the little arrow next to the folder to open and close it to see if you actually got the layers into the folder

3. Choose Layer or Group

1. Look at the top left of your screen at the Options Bar.

2. Just to the right of the Auto-Select check switch the setting to "Layer"

The default Move Tool setting for Folder Groups is for all the layers in the Group to be selected as a group even if you only click on one of the layers (Auto Select "Group")


If you want to move one layer within a Folder Group, you have to change the setting to Auto Select "Layers"

4. Assessment

Project has at least 2 effectively used folder groups

5. Lesson Extension

1. Put all your layers in a folder group and turn it off.

2. Make a 2nd composition.  Maybe try a different kind of visual balance

or

Create a second file and paste other AI designs into it

You can name it T-Shirt Extra followed by your last name first name.

Example: 

T-Shirt Extra Hooker Martina


6. Submit

1. Save your work before you hand it in!

2. Click on the Submit Folder Link for your class below
