Revelation of Christ, the Son of God

Revelation of Christ, the Son of God

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

(Prov.8:22-31)

In the above verses, there is a clear-cut revelation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The words of wisdom taught to Solomon and to the Church are of the Son of God who existed in the beginning of the universe. It is His testimony. The LORD GOD possessed Him in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. Let us know that Christ was not created by God. He was with God in the beginning. God created everything through Christ only. This shows that Christ, the Son was in God and that God was in Him. Before the work of creation started, God possessed Christ for the work of creation. Possession is not creation. A man has his mind and body. For doing a particular work through the body, the mind has to possess or control/own the body.

Christ was set up from everlasting. Christ has neither beginning nor end. He is everlasting. He was brought forth and not created. He was there by the side of His Father during the work of creation. The work of creation was made by God by the side of His Son. If we read the first chapter of John, we find that Christ, the Word was with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being (John 1:2-3).

Christ was rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and His delights were with the sons of men. Since Christ was delighting in the sons of men who were created by God through Him, Christ was willing to manifest in flesh to redeem the sons of men from the sin.
