Honey and honeycomb

Honey and honeycomb

(Verses 13 and 14 of Chapter 24 in Proverbs are clubbed together). My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: (Proverbs 24:13)

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 24:14).

Honey is a good medicine for our frail body. Edible honeycomb is sweet to our taste. Knowledge emanating from God given wisdom is likened to honey. We should covet and appropriate it. It will be a tonic for our inner man. Your expectation will never be cut off when you use it. Knowledge of wisdom is better than merely knowledge available in this world.
