Brawling and contentious woman

Brawling and contentious woman

(Verses 9 and 19 in Chapter 21 of Proverbs are clubbed together).

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house (Proverbs 21:9).

Normally, in this world, there is always a brawl between the husband and the wife. When the brawling wife accuses her husband always without any justification, the husband feels that he can live alone in the house sitting in a corner of his house. He is not happy even in a big house with all comforts when his wife picks up brawls with him in every matter without provocation. Even in the lives of believers, such a brawl takes place that may lead to divorce.

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman (Proverbs 21:19).

A husband finds it extremely difficult to live with him wife if the latter is always contentious and angry with him without seeing any reasonableness of her contentions or quarrels with her husband. He prefers living in the wilderness to living with her in the house. The house should be a place for happiness for a couple.
