Fear of the wicked

Fear of the wicked

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted (Pro.10:24).

The wicked nurtures fear always because he does not believe in God. God is not with the wicked but with the righteous. Whatever a wicked person fears, it will come upon him or her. If a wicked person fears accident, it does happen to him. But if a righteous person fears due to lack of faith, it will not come upon him. The desire of the righteous shall be granted. A child of God who has not become wicked or unrighteous can expect of God to grant his or her desire. Righteousness is the foundation of a child of God. Jesus said, "I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matt.5:20-NIV). If you have some kind of righteousness which does not exceed that of the religious people of this world, then you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven after death. The righteous ones in the book of Proverbs are those whose righteousness exceeds that of the religious people in this world.
