Chapter 10

A wise son and a foolish son

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother (Pro.10:1).

In the book of Proverbs, the word "father" is generally applicable to a spiritual father who takes care of his spiritual children. The father becomes happy when one of his wise sons makes the former glad. Here, the son is not merely a male son but also a female daughter. A child be it female or male but acts like a son. Today, many spiritual children do not obey their spiritual fathers i.e. pastors and the pastors concerned do not love their spiritual children as their own. Pastors just want to give long sermons to their spiritual children but do not mentor them in a personal manner.

Please note that son means not the son of masculine gender excluding the daughter. It is that young person who behaves like a son. You and I are the sons of the Heavenly Father. We have to make the Heavenly Father a glad father. If you make Him a glad father, then you cannot please the persons around you. We try to please all people but make our Heavenly Father a sad father. The word of our Heavenly Father should be the uppermost thought in your heart. You have to meditate on it day and night. You have to bring your action and the actions of other children of God in line with His word. A foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. There is a spiritual mother for every one of us in the body of Christ. They are those servants of God who beget us through the gospel. They take care of us after spiritual birth. Today, evangelists after giving birth to spiritual children do not take care of them personally. Instead, they try to get benefits from such spiritual children by extracting offerings from them. Both the spiritual father and the spiritual mother are supposed to mentor their spiritual children. Since they fail to mentor their spiritual children, they become foolish in the sight of God as they remain babes for ever. A true spiritual mother feels the heaviness in her heart when his son becomes foolish without the knowledge of God and of His word.

The elders in the body of Christ are supposed to make their spiritual children wise and not foolish.

Treasures of wickedness

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death (Pro:10:2).

Treasures of wickedness are abundant material blessings or material things more than required. The cost of a mercedes benz bought out of the offerings of the children of God for the pastor or his family becomes the treasures of wickedness. Such mammon of unrighteousness profit nothing. But righteousness delivers us from spiritual death. When we use the money given by the children of God for the purposes of evangelism and of ministry to the poor saints after earmarking a part of it for our livelihood, we become righteous in the sight of God. Today, many megachurch leaders are embroiled in cases of property litigation and of misappropriation of church funds, they do face spiritual death.

Soul of the righteous

The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked (Pro.10:3).

The soul of the righteous will not suffer famine spiritually or materially. The righteous are those who live for God and the Church and who do not live for themselves. In times of need, the Lord supplies their needs. They do not open their mouths for their various needs. They tell only God of their needs. The unrighteous are those who adopt all tricks of this world to earn money even for God's work. God's work should be carried on in God's ways. God does cast away the money extracted from His people by deceitful means. It may appear to us that God is pleased with the projects that we make in His name. All our labor and money become the substance of the wicked. No doubt, God may use these unrighteous projects or structures for winning souls. This does not mean God approves their methods. God did not accept the money given by Ananias and Sapphira because they lied to the Holy Spirit. Once they sold their land, the sale proceeds did not belong to them. God did cast away the substance of Ananias and Sapphira. Similarly, once the children of God give their money in the Name of God, the same do not belong to the ministers concerned but to God. Many ministers of God do not tell their supporters how they spend their precious offerings. They lie to their congregations or supporters by giving false accounts or accounts prepared by their auditors.

Becoming poor and rich

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich (Pro.10:4).

We will become poor spiritually or materially when we give money either in charity or to the Church with a slack hand. The people who have shown care and conscientiousness in their work or duties are called the diligent. Today, many people of God are careless or slothful in their vineyards. They are always in want but do not have abundance so as to give to others. Many pastors are not active in their ministries but busy themselves only on Sundays. During day time, they do not spend their time profitably either for their families or for their ministries. There are many pastors in India who live in slums but do not work with their hands for livelihood but continue to live on charities from others. They even tell lies to get money from others. And they always remain poor in the slums. If they work hard through their hands, God will definitely prosper them. However, this does not apply to those full time missionaries who are fully engaged in evangelism and service.

God does make us rich when our hands are diligent. When a pastor or a minister of God works with his hands for his or her livelihood, the money does not become unrighteous and he can drive a mercedes benz if he needs it for his family but should not buy the same out of the sacrificial offerings given by the children of God.

Gathering and sleeping

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame (Pro.10:5).

Summer means a favorable season when there is an open door or when there is opportune time. Ants do gather in summer and do not gather in winter. Summer is followed by winter when we cannot do much work outside. Many of us are not sensitive to the seasons in which we live. We do not work when we are supposed to work. We sleep in harvest. We as spiritual children cause shame to the Heavenly Father. The spiritual children of the ministers of God also cause shame to their spiritual fathers, i.e pastors.

There is a dear couple in Delhi with whom we have fellowship in our church. They are engaged in the most toughest work of translating the Bible into an Indian language which has no script. Both of them are very busy in this work and they have no time to promote their ministry among the churches for raising funds for their noble ministry. They gather in summer as wise sons. It takes a very long time for them to translate each chapter in the Bible. For them, the summer season is their time of ability to complete the Bible translation which may even take their entire life time.

Blessings and violence

Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked

(Pro.10:6).

The just are those who are justified by God through the righteousness which is in Christ Jesus (Phi,3:9) . When we live by Jesus Christ, we become the righteousness of God and the blessings are upon our heads. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Cor.5:21). This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe (Rom 3:22). No minister of God need to pray for our blessings. If we know the truth, the truth will deliver us.

Just and wicked people

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot (Pro.10:7).

The term "just" is already covered in the preceding verse. The memory of the righteous is blessed. Normally, the people are blessed. But we find here that the memory is blessed. This means that the mind faculty of those who are made righteous by faith in Christ Jesus is blessed. Though they may forget with their human faculty of mind due to disease or passage of time, their memory of the knowledge of God is in tact. Though my late mother was on her death bed oblivious of many things of her life, she remembered important events in her life and even remembered rightly my date of birth. On her death bed, she was able to recite Psalm 23. Her memory was blessed.

But the name of the wicked shall not be blessed even after their death. The memory of the wicked even if he or she is intelligent is not blessed and his or her name shall rot.

Wise man and prating fool

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall (Pro.10:8).

The wise in heart are those who have received Christ, the Wisdom of God. They are supposed to receive commandments for holy living and for ministry. Nowadays, many children of God do not seek God's counsel in His word for receiving His commandments.

But a prating fool shall fail. Many of us waste our precious time in talking idly and at length on matters that do not concern us. The Holy Spirit calls them prating fools who will fall. They will surely fall in their spiritual life. Be careful in your chatter. Don't gossip about others. As the wise son, you have to control your tongue. Many of us lose our spiritual power through our tongues and fall miserably in life.

Walking uprightly and winking with eye

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known (Pro.10:9).

Do we walk uprightly in life without crookedness in heart? If so, we walk surely. In the sight of God, if we do not walk uprightly, we do not walk but crawl or limp. One who walks uprightly is strictly honest with God and man and does not cheat others.

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall (Pro.10:10).

According to Wikipedia, a wink is a facial expression made by briefly closing one eye. A wink is an informal mode of non-verbal communication usually signaling shared hidden knowledge or intent. As children of God, we have to communicate our thoughts in a straightforward manner to others. We would cause sorrow to those who we do not want to share our thoughts. There should not be any secret to be hidden in the body of Christ as we are all members of one and the same body of Christ.

Here again, there is a reference to a prating fool who falls. Those who wink with the eye will cause sorrow. But a prating fool is worse than a winking person in the body of Christ. Words of the mouth are more important than facial expressions.

Mouth of righteous man

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked (Pro.10:11).

In Proverbs, word of mouth is given special importance. As a righteous man, your mouth becomes a well of life. Do not curse or talk ill of other persons on their back. Through your mouth, word of faith or word of prophecy should flow. When you meet someone who is facing a problem, do not feel sorry for him or her but speak a word of life. Through your mouth, you can change the situation around you. Speak a word of healing when you meet someone who is sick. Our daily ministry is through our mouth. When you speak to a stranger on the street, speak a word of faith or a word of wisdom.

Violence covers the mouth of the wicked. A wicked person cannot speak a word of life through his or her mouth. A wicked person conceals his thoughts of violence in his heart but makes a pretense of peace in his heart. Some angry people speak out of their hearts and show their violent spirit to others. But wicked people do not show up their violent spirit. They speak very nicely and entice you to their trap of wickedness. You need to discern a wicked person by the word of his mouth. A murderer while trailing his victim will not reveal his intent to kill but will entice the latter to a place of seclusion. The violence in the heart of the wicked is always concealed. It covers his mouth. However, by wisdom or by discernment, we can bring out what is hidden in the heart of the wicked.

Hatred and love

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins (Pro.10:12).

Hatred is common among the children of God. They hate the members of the same body of Christ on many counts. They harbor vengeance in hearts and cannot forgive those who trespass against them.

But true love among us does cover the sins of our brethren and sisters in the body of Christ. Let us seek God's forgiveness of their sins by interceding before God for them without condemning them.

Wisdom in the lips

In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding (Pro.10:11).

Those who understand the call and purpose of their spiritual life in Christ do speak words of wisdom. A child of God may have understanding of his work life but must have understanding of his or her call for the type of ministry. Today, millions in the body of Christ do not have this understanding. Hence, their inability to speak words of wisdom.

But a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. He or she who does not have the understanding of his or her call is prone to the divine rod of judgment. Today, many of us are void of such an understanding and God does not bless us fully in all areas of our life. In place of blessing, we receive His rod of judgment.

The wise and the foolish

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction (Pro.10:14).

The children of God are the wise men who have to lay up knowledge of the scriptures. But many of us do not meditate on the Word of God but look to our corrupt church pulpits for acquiring knowledge. We do not read and study the Bible among ourselves like the Berean church but flock the meetings of celebrity preachers. The wise people gather knowledge from many sources and discern the same by checking it with the written Word and then storing up the same in their knowledge reservoir. Whatever the Lord has taught me over the past 4 decades, I have stored them in my various websites which are available on the internet. The true knowledge of the scriptures becomes the truth. The truth cannot be eclipsed or destroyed by any false doctrine or by the message of the Antichrist. The truth is embodied in his or her spiritual life.

But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. The foolish do not speak words of wisdom but words of destruction. A man of God or a woman of God who has the truth embodied in life ministers to the dying world or a dying church by the words of wisdom or the prophetic words.

Wisdom and prophecy are interwoven and cannot be separated. A man of God or a woman of God speaking words of wisdom in fact does prophesy to the hearer. As a prophet, do you want to prophesy or as a foolish person, do you want to speak words of destruction? In Tamilnadu, there are some evangelists who on the New Year speak words of destruction and of death as the words of prophecy.

Rich man and poor

The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty

(Pro.10:15).

The rich people accumulate wealth and it becomes his strong city. He or she who is rich unto God builds a strong spiritual city founded on righteousness. This city is not prone to burglary because it is protected by God. Even if a child of God has materially prospered God has his or her material wealth in the city of God. It cannot be pilfered or stolen by a bank scam or by an ATM theft. God does protect our money if we earn it by our sweat and blood by legal and honest means. This city of wealth becomes strong as we spend it for God's work or minister to the poor saints who really need our funds.

The destruction of the poor is their poverty. The materially poor among us are those who do not look to God for finance but look to others for the same. Their poverty is due to lack of faith in God who supplies all their needs. They cannot attempt great things for God because they continue to focus on their begging bowls. Their poverty ultimately leads them to their spiritual destruction. Many pastors living in poor conditions in India continue to approach the rich evangelists or the pastors in US by giving them exaggerated reports or false testimonies just to covet their dollars. They become materially rich overnight by building swanky bungalows and owning swanky cars. This results in their spiritual death. They continue to remain in spiritual poverty in the sight of God, though they have accumulated wealth by deceit. Some megachurch pastors in India misuse the funds received by them from the churches in US and other European nations through Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. They, are judged by God through the governmental machinery for their spiritual poverty.

Labour of the righteous

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin (Pro.10:16).

The righteous or the children of God made righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ should work with their hands either in God's vineyard or in their secular career or business. Today many pastors and evangelists idle away their time during day time, doing nothing. If they work hard with their own hands either for livelihood or for God's work, their labor leads to abundance of life, both materially and spiritually. If they idle away their precious time, this would lead to loss or poverty. They prefer to go to others with begging bowls rather than work with their own hands. Apostle Paul did work with his own hands by way of tent making.

Obeying and refusing instruction

He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth (Pro.10:17).

He or she who lives the life of God by dying to the world and living for God follows the instructions in the book of life for holy living and for ministry. A child of God lives only one life i.e. life of God. He or she has no dual life, one human life and another divine or godly life. We live in Christ and not in this world. We are in the world but not of the world. If you are in the way of this eternal life, you have to keep instructions in the Bible, the book of life. Keeping instructions does not mean reading instructions in the Bible but living such instructions through trial and error method. You cannot live this divine life without the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Today many of us do not listen to the small voice of the indwelling Holy Spirit (I Kings 10:11-12) but would prefer to travel over a long distance in hearing a servant of God. A child of God born in the Kingdom of Christ begins to live this life or is in the way of this life. He or she has to grow to the stature of Christ Jesus into a perfect man or woman. For attaining perfection, he or she has to learn instructions out of experience and then live accordingly. This is not merely acquiring theological instructions in a Bible college. It is the school of life one learns from the indwelling Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who is the Teacher (John 14:26).

But he that refuseth reproof erreth. In the Kingdom of Christ where the King of kings reigns, we have to accept reproof from spiritual elders or the other members of the Body of Christ. We need pruning for our steady growth. Many celebrity preachers do not accept reproof from the other children of God with the result that they end in grave doctrinal errors. Due to mere arrogance, they do not accept corrections or reproof from others. Open rebuke is better than secret life (Pro.27:5).

Hatred with lying lips

He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool (Pro.10:18).

By lying lips, we hide our hatred by pretense when we meet face to face those who we hate. We do not tell them why we hate them. In politics, politicians do not tell their opponents why they nurture hatred against the latter. They shake hands with their opponents but reveal their hatred in the media or by tweets. But, we, the children of God should tell our opponents why we hate them so that the latter may mend their ways. Be what you are without pretense. Do not hide the hatred in your heart by lying lips.

Let us not slander by making false or damaging statements. We should prove an allegation by the mouth of witnesses (2 Cor.13:1). Making a false accusation without evidence is an abomination in the sight of God. If we do so, we are fools in His sight.

Refraining lips

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise (Pro.10:19).

Let us not speak much as in the multitude of words, we commit sin by exaggeration or by slip of the tongue. As such, we should be careful with our word of mouth. Nowadays, there are preachers who love to speak for hours together from the pulpit telling long stories. As they speak in the Name of God, they should be very careful in their words. It is better for them to avoid any talking assignments in churches which may entail twisting some hearsay stories or testimonies of others. Carefully prepare your message and do not think that the Holy Spirit may give you utterance during your speech. The Holy Spirit will give you some thought which you have to express in your own words.

Just and wicked

The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth (Pro.10:20).

The just and the wicked are compared in the book of Proverbs. The just are those who are made righteous through the blood of the Lamb. The wicked are those who are not only made righteous through the blood of the Lamb but also those righteous people who turn away from their righteousness and commit iniquity and do according to all the abominations. "....none of his righteous deeds which he has done shall be remembered. In his trespass that he has trespassed and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die" (Eze.18:24 - Amplified). A beloved minister of God who has labored much in his vineyard may die if he commits iniquity and does according to all the abominations that heathens do.

The tongue of the just is as choice silver. It is the word proceeding from the tongue of the just that becomes like choice silver. Any word that proceeds from his or her mouth brings out either life or death. Silver as metal is highly valued for jewelry, tableware, and other ornamental use and is widely used in coinage, photography, dental and soldering alloys, electrical contacts, and printed circuits. The word that proceeds from your mouth is as precious as choice silver. The word need not be a message that you give during church services or during evangelical meetings. It is the word that you speak daily with your spouse, children, friends, etc.

The heart of the wicked is little worth. If a child of God turns away from his or her righteousness and becomes wicked, his or her heart becomes unworthy until and unless he or she repents and is restored. If your heart is wicked in the sight of God, you should immediately repent in sack cloth and return to God. Pray like King David, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts (Psalm 139:23). Our heart becomes wicked once we commit sin. God does give His people a long rope and ample opportunities for cleansing their hearts of unrighteousness. Many of us may not be committing the abominable sins but iniquities by way of omission. The Christian standard of righteousness is that all unrighteousness is sin. (I John 5:17). Be careful. Your very heart may become wicked due to pride entering your head or due to any unrighteous act. Let your word be tinged with kindness, love and humility.

Lips of the righteous

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom (Pro.10:21).

As a child of God, your very lips feed many. As you speak words of wisdom or words of prophecy in Jesus' Name to someone who is in dire need, God meets the specific need of that person through your word of mouth. You need not always give to charity but can speak words of wisdom or prophecy because your tongue has the authority of God.

But fools die for want of wisdom. Fools in the Kingdom of Christ are those who are not disciples growing to the stature of Christ but remain as babes to be fed with spoons by their spiritual fathers and spiritual mothers. They die spiritually in the spiritual wilderness for want of wisdom. They do not seek wisdom from God. They do not know what they are supposed to do for their Heavenly Father. They just live like the children of the world, working from morning to evening without caring for the Kingdom of God. Millions of the children of God do undergo spiritual death. They do not believe in the promises of God for healing their sicknesses but want to be prayed for by others only. Of course, in the body of Christ, we are supposed to intercede for one another. Above all, we have to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:6). Many of us do not get relief from sicknesses but die physically for want of wisdom.

Blessing of the Lord

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it (Pro.10:22).

Truly, the blessing of the Lord makes us materially rich so that we can share our blessings with the poor and the needy. A lazy person who does not sow in the due season or who does not harvest in the harvest season cannot receive the blessing of the Lord. A minister of God who does not labor in God's vineyard but expects to live by the tithes and offerings does not receive the blessing of the Lord, even if he receives an abundance of tithes and offerings in his church or in his ministry. If you receive the blessing of the Lord in its true sense, then there is no sorrow with that. A megachurch pastor may receive an abundance of offerings from his church but may face raids by taxmen. If he accounts for each penny and uses a part of it for himself and for God's work in a transparent manner, then he does receive the blessing of the Lord. If he uses a mercedes benz for his comfort out of the unaccounted offerings and does not minister to the poor saints in his church or elsewhere, then the pastor himself adds sorrow with it. If it is truly the blessing of the Lord, it will make him materially rich and God does not add sorrow with that.

Indulging in mischief

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom (Pro.10:23).

We, the children of God, at times, indulge in mischief which the children of the world do. In Indian churches, election to the posts of Bishop and to the Pastorate Committee takes place and many people including the children of God support the unrighteous activities of the prospective Bishops. For them, it is as sport to a fool to do mischief. They simply acquiesce to the unrighteous acts of their church leaders without questioning them, thus being partakers with them (Eph.5:7).

If you, a child of God, are a man of understanding who understands the ways of God and His righteousness, then you have the wisdom coming from heaven which "is pure first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere" (James 3:17-NIV). You need not acquire this wisdom by memorizing the scriptures. Mere scriptural knowledge is not wisdom from heaven. The devil has more scriptural knowledge than you and I. But he has no wisdom.

Fear of the wicked

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted (Pro.10:24).

The wicked nurtures fear always because he does not believe in God. God is not with the wicked but with the righteous. Whatever a wicked person fears, it will come upon him or her. If a wicked person fears accident, it does happen to him. But if a righteous person fears due to lack of faith, it will not come upon him. The desire of the righteous shall be granted. A child of God who has not become wicked or unrighteous can expect of God to grant his or her desire. Righteousness is the foundation of a child of God. Jesus said, "I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matt.5:20-NIV). If you have some kind of righteousness which does not exceed that of the religious people of this world, then you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven after death.

The righteous ones in the book of Proverbs are those whose righteousness exceeds that of the religious people in this world.

Perishing of the wicked

As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation (Pro.10:25).

Be careful while living in this world. Do not transform yourself into the wicked. If you become the wicked, then you will pass away in sudden death on divine judgment because judgment begins at the house of God. "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (I Pet.4:17).

But the righteous is an everlasting foundation. Do not become wicked just for earning money in an unrighteous manner in this world. Be righteous as the Lord is righteous (Psalm 145:7)

Sluggard in God's vineyard

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him (Pro.10:26).

Vinegar is dangerous to the teeth. Smoke is injurious to the eyes. The sluggard in God's vineyard are dangerous to the leaders who employ them in their missions. Many of us are sluggish in God's yard where the Holy Spirit has employed us. We just keep postponing King's work in preference to our own earthly activities. In the sight of God, we are like vinegar to the teeth. The acid in vinegar softens and dissolves the alkali of the bone finally impairing their texture and making it very difficult for the teeth to chew and digest food. As vinegar destroys impairs dental texture so we destroy the plans of God. The gospel that gives life to the millions is delayed and the spiritual food denied to the millions who perish. Smoke causes irritation in our eyes and even destroys them if we continue to be in a room full of smoke for long hours. God does not need sluggards in His vineyard. Sluggards are parasites on the body of Christ.

Prolonging of days

The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened

(Pro.10:27).

Many children of God do not enjoy longevity because they do not fear God indulging in sin at will. As they become wicked, their years are shortened. Our longevity does not depend upon our health insurance or medical plan but on God's plan for our life. When we do everything according to His plan and guidance, we do enjoy good health. This is the great secret for us. As we do everything fearing God (fearful expectation of divine judgement), we become careful in our path of righteousness. When we live our lives in a reckless manner without any regard to God's instructions, we become wicked in His eyes.

Hope of the righteous

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish (Pro.10:28).

Our hope as the righteous people of God is gladness in our hearts. We are always glad, despite adverse circumstances confronting us. Our expectation will be granted by God in His time. But the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Let us hold on to our righteousness without losing any bit of the same even when we face adversity in life. Let us not compromise our righteousness under any circumstance.

Strength to the upright/righteous

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity (Pro.10:29).

If we follow the way of the Lord as led by the Holy Spirit daily, we become upright people in this crooked world and we get spiritual and physical strength to face any adverse situation or any adverse people.

Let us eschew iniquity in our Christian life because destruction will await us at every stage in our life.

The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. (Pro.10:30)

If you are a righteous child of God, you will never be removed from your present position in this world. No power on earth can work against you. You will inherit the earth. You will become the head and not the tail in your organization or in your government. When the unrighteous people around you fall, you will stand upright and inhabit the organization or the government you serve. Do not become counted among the wicked people as you work for your organization or the government. Do not join hands with them in unrighteous acts.

Lips of the just

The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out (Pro.10:31).

No doubt, as a child of God, justified by the blood of the Lamb, your mouth will bring forth wisdom wherever you serve. Be it in God's vineyard or in a secular organization or a government.

Do not inherit the froward tongue of the children of the world. It is the perverse tongue. The tongue that moves or faces away from reality or twists or exaggerates the truth is called the froward tongue.

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. (Pro.10:32)

If you are a righteous one, you speak what is acceptable in the sight of God. You would not please man but God in your words. But if you inherit the mouth of the wicked, you will speak words of perverseness, lies or exaggerations.

Next.....Chapter 11
