Fruit of mouth and power of tongue

Fruit of mouth and power of tongue

(Let us club verses 20 and 21 in Chapter 18 of Proverbs for better understanding).

A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled (Proverbs 18:20).

Whatever you speak decides your material blessings in this world. Through the word of your mouth, you can prevent inheriting good things. Be careful of what you speak. Do not speak much but less. Unnecessary words either spoken or written may be disastrous. Jesus was careful in His words.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21).

Whatever you speak may cause death if the words are false. Through false testimony, a man can cause death or disaster in the life of another person. Similarly, your word may cause life or blessings for others. If you want to be blessed in your material life, speak less and on the point but based on the truth. You have to love the word of your mouth. Do not withhold your word due to fear but love to speak it boldly.
