The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass (Proverbs 19:12).

A ruler may show his wrath to you for transgressing his commandment to punish you like the lion roares to devour its prey. But if he changes his mind to show favour to you will come as a great relief and job to you like the dew falls upon the grass.
