HONEY OUT OF THE ROCK
"He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;..." (Duet.32:13) "He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee" (Psalm 81:16). Honey bees collect honey from different flowers and store the same in honeycombs in the clefts of rocks. The proverbs are the honeycombs stored in the clefts of the Rock of Ages. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart one day that I should meditate on every verse in the book of Proverbs and write a daily devotional for the people of God. Earlier I had been meditating on the Song of Songs verse by verse and finally brought out a book titled "The Voice of My Beloved" which is available on the web also. Click here to read the same.
In obedience to His present call, I began to meditate on this wonderful book and to write the devotionals, chapter-wise. It took about 15 years for me to complete these writings.
Our Lord brings honey out of the rock. When we face rock-like situations in our life, we find honey out of the rock. We get pure interpretations out of His word only through sufferings. The Lord satisfies you with honey out of the rock.
The Holy Spirit wanted me to write these interpretations in a simple manner to be understood by the people. These interpretations are distinct from the Bible commentaries on Proverbs as written by learned theological writers who studied the original texts in Greek and Latin.
