Dear St. Rita Families,
What a wonderful weekend we had at the Catholic Schools Walk! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, or supported in any way—and a special shout-out to our amazing walk captain, Hilary Lowman, and volunteers Tammy Unser, Courtney Ulinski, and Amber Krome for their leadership and dedication. Events like this remind us of the strong sense of community we share at St. Rita. Remember that Money Wars are still going on to raise additional funds; each class competes to raise the most.
The funds raised from the walk help us provide supplemental experiences for our students—things like field trips and clubs that enrich learning and build connections (pending RPSA approval). If you’d like to help discuss how these resources are used as well as support special events throughout the year, please consider getting involved with our RPSA. Their next meeting is virtual on November 5th at 7:00 p.m. Here is the link to join. Your ideas and energy make a real difference!
As we look ahead to Parent-Teacher Conferences next Friday, please be sure to sign up if you haven’t already. These meetings are such an important opportunity to understand your child’s growth and goals so that, together, we can help them reach their full potential. We also encourage you to review your child’s STAR and IXL reports—they provide valuable insights into your child’s progress and highlight specific skills to practice at home. We want each child to focus on their own growth- most of our students make goals and talk to their teachers about what steps they need to achieve them (this could be 20 minutes of reading a night at home, doing extra IXL exercises, or making sure they finish their homework).
Finally, as we near All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, we take time to reflect on the deeper meaning of this season. While Halloween brings fun and celebration, our faith calls us to remember the saints who inspire us and to pray for our loved ones who have gone before us. This time of remembrance helps us keep gratitude, hope, and holiness at the heart of our daily lives.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. St. Rita’s spirit truly shines through your generosity, enthusiasm, and faith.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Beth Woodward
Principal
Dismissal Reminder
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during dismissal. A special thank you to all parents who wait for the “slow” sign before driving forward at the end of the day. For everyone’s safety, please do not move your vehicle until you see a teacher display the “slow” sign. Your attentiveness helps keep our students safe. It is normally just a three or four minute wait from dismissal until the “go” signal.
Uniforms on Fridays
Please remember that students should wear their regular uniforms on Fridays. Our Spirit Wear Fridays will begin after Thanksgiving. We’ll share more details as we get closer to that time.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others!
Diaper and Wipes Collection
The Tablesetters service group at St. Rita School will be collecting diapers and wipes for the month of October. Donations will be accepted at St. Rita Church or School. Diapers of all sizes are accepted but larger sizes (3,4,5 & 6) are most needed. Together we can help keep little ones in our community happy and healthy!
Advent Breakfast Meeting
