Dear St. Rita Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you well as we continue our journey through the Lenten season. There are several important updates and events to share with you, showcasing the vibrant and engaged community we have here at St. Rita’s.
Reconciliation on Monday, March 4th:
The school will be hosting a Reconciliation session with Father Pat on Monday, March 4th. This spiritual opportunity allows our students to reflect, seek forgiveness, and strengthen their connection with their faith. We encourage you to discuss the significance of this sacrament with your child and support their participation.
Accreditation Visit by Archdiocesan Administrators:
This week, we are honored to welcome a team of administrators from the Archdiocese as they conduct an accreditation visit to our school. This process is essential in ensuring that we maintain high educational standards and continue to provide a nurturing and faith-filled environment for our students. They will examine our curricula, schedules, methodology, and culture. We appreciate your ongoing support in making St. Rita’s the best it can be.
A Reflection on Lent:
As we continue our journey through Lent, let us take this time to reflect on our actions, embrace the spirit of sacrifice, and deepen our connection with our faith. Encourage your children to explore ways to give back to the community and practice kindness and compassion during this sacred season.
We appreciate your continued partnership in providing a well-rounded and faith-based education for our students. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and spiritual growth of your children.
In faith and partnership,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita School

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are in need of volunteers to help with lunch supervision between 11-12. Please email bwoodward@sienacatholicschools.org if you are interested in helping, even one day per week.
Many helping hands build community and lightens the work load.
In addition to day-to-day activities, we are always open to new members and ideas for our Royal Parent Student Association. This is a parent-led volunteer organization that organizes recognition and fun activities as well as supports the school’s need for extra hands in a variety of ways.
SAFEGUARDING ALL OF GOD’S FAMILY
Safeguarding program and background check MUST be completed before you can volunteer at school or chaperone any school event or field trip.
Dear Parents/Guardians of students in grades 3-8,
On or about March 25th, your child will be taking the state-required Wisconsin Forward Exam. We would love to have a surprise note from you to your child that provides encouragement for them to be accountable and do well. We need your help to kick off our testing schedule.
Therefore, we are asking for parents/guardians to write a note of encouragement. After you write the note, put it in a sealed envelope with your child’s name for your child to deliver to the classroom teacher via backpack. For the older students, we know this may seem harder but feel free to explain to them what you are doing and why. This will also help with them taking the exam seriously.
Letters Due March 20th (We want every student to open a message)
Your child will open the message the morning of the first test
Testing Dates: March 25, 26 and April 9-19
In addition, here are several tips for helping your child succeed:
Make sure your child understands the importance of being accountable:
Accountable to their own learning;
Accountable to your concern for their learning
Accountable to all staff who work tirelessly to ensure their growth and achievement.
Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest
Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast
Make sure your child is at school on time.
