1/3 Classes Resume
Dear St. Rita Families,
It was wonderful meeting many of you at conferences last week. If you haven't met with your child's teacher yet, please reach out to them. We treasure our partnerships with families - kids learn best when we partner together. If you have concerns or questions about your child's progress, please contact their teacher.
Please note the changing weather is also the time of year when uniform requirements change. Students must have long pants or skirts with leggings after November 15th. Children also need appropriate snow gear or cold weather gear as they go outside nearly every day that it is warmer than zero. I belong to some administrator groups where the principals work in Canada and Alaska, and they go outside in much colder weather (probably with heavier coats)! Also dress code related - we will move to spirit day Fridays. Spirit days will be spirit wear tops and uniform bottoms for students.
I look forward to my first Advent and Christmas season as your principal. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to give ourselves to selfless acts, prayer, and kind actions. Look for our next newsletters to have information about this special time of year and how we celebrate this season hopeful anticipation.
Warmly,
Beth Woodward

Snow pants are required for any grade-level student who would like to play in the snow. In the fall, students may wear their uniform shorts and/or skirts/skorts from August through November 15. Black/Navy tights, leggings or black/navy fleece-type leggings, must be worn under the girls' skirts/skorts while outside from November 15-March 30. Long pants are acceptable at any time. In the Spring, students may wear their uniform shorts starting April 1 through the end of the school year. Students wearing uniform skirts or skorts do not require tights/ legging undergarments for warmth starting from April 1 until the end of the school year.
