Greetings,
I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and most enjoyable Spring Break. It was so beautiful to hear all of the fun activities that your child did over their break. And, it is so good to see everyone again.
This coming week we celebrate and amazing group of individuals at St. Rita's. Every staff member deserves a round of applause for their dedication, commitment and passion for what they do. May 1-6 is when we celebrate all of our hard working staff-National Staff Appreciation Week. There are many ways to celebrate and we have some fun things happening.
Feel free to surprise your child's teacher!!! Smiles and hugs are always welcomed too!
It is just so hard to believe that we are entering into one of my favorite months. The month of May! Let's pray that our April showers will now bring those many May flowers. I am excited to share that as we move into May, the learning never stops. There is still so much to do. We will be looking forward to the warmer weather, wearing of shorts (again), celebrating the Feast of St. Rita, Spring Musical, Field Day, 8th grade promotion and much much more. In addition, I would like to share that each Friday of May, we will hold OOU days for the students. More details further down in this newsletter.
Many blessings to you and your family!
Dr. Sue

St. Rita’s was very excited to host Father John LoCoco today. On a day of welcoming everyone back he gave an inspirational faith filled message about choices and vocations to our middle school students! Thank you Father John for leading us closer to God.
In middle school, we're working on a classic: Shrinky Dinks! The kids are having a lot of fun picking out a shoe to trace, design, and make into their very own keychain. I'm loving how creative everyone is being and how each shoe is one of a kind! Be sure to ask your student to share their work with you once we're done with the project.
Kindergarten created Crowns as part of their learning about the letter and sound K and QU.
It is with great pleasure that we celebrated Administrative Professional Day by honoring and recognizing Ms. Lopez for the many wonderful things she does for so many. We would not know what to do without her loving care in helping with ice packs, fixing the copier, orders, answering phones, attendance, handing out band aids and making our day brighter! Thank you Ms. Lopez for all that you do!
We closed out the year with our 3rd-6th grade Peace Learning Circles Family. We appreciated all of the strategies to help us when we have to handle conflicts or just need a helping hand. We learned the importance of kindness and love. We also spent time sharing what we are grateful! Our 5th graders completing their last course and received their certificates.

We took a moment to pray and reflect on the sudden unexpected loss of Ms. Pruyn. We recognized her love for St. Rita's and pray that her soul has entered into the gates of heaven.
