Dear St. Rita School Families,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday season. We are thrilled to welcome the children back to school and see their smiling faces once again. As we return to our routines, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the second half of the school year.
We are currently wrapping up the second quarter, and our teachers are diligently working on finalizing grades. Report cards will be sent home on January 22nd, so please keep an eye out for them. This is a great opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements and discuss any areas for growth.
I am also excited to announce that we will soon be sharing our plans for Catholic Schools Week. This special week will be filled with fun and meaningful events for our students, celebrating our faith and the unique spirit of our school community. Stay tuned for more details!
Reflecting on the joy of the Christmas season, we are reminded of the incredible gift of Jesus' birth. Celebrating His birthday is a reminder of God's love and generosity to humanity. Let us carry this spirit of joy and gratitude into the new year, as we continue to grow in faith and knowledge.
As we move forward, we will begin winter STAR testing soon. Teachers will be sending out notices to their class parents with specific dates and times. Attendance on these dates is very important, as make-up testing can take away from valuable learning time. Your cooperation in ensuring your child is present and prepared is greatly appreciated. Data from this testing informs our instruction and allows teachers to know where they need to reinforce or extend their lessons.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. We look forward to a wonderful and productive second half of the school year.
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita School

Siena Schools offers a financial aid application, through Blackbaud Financial Aid, that will open February 1, 2025, closing April 15, 2025 for the 25-26 school year.
When starting the online financial aid application, search Siena Catholic Schools and then select the specific Siena location desired. You will need your 2024 income information for this application.
Tuition contracts for the 25-26 school year may be ready for your digital signature prior to the aid application results. This is not a concern. We ask that you sign the contract by the assigned deadline even if you applied for aid. Once the aid application is processed, the contract will be updated by the finance office to reflect the new tuition rate. You will not need to re-sign the contract.
Any questions please let us know and an Admissions & Financial Aid team member will be in touch with you!
The Racine Parental Choice Program re-enrollment for the 2025-26 school year begins Monday, February 3, 2025. Please remember that February is the only month that will guarantee your child(ren)’s seat in their current school for the 2025-26 school year.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
