Dear St. Rita Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and blessed. I would like to express my gratitude for your support during Catholic Schools Week. The success of our events, particularly the Open House, was truly a testament to the strong sense of community that we have here at St. Rita’s. The Ambassadors did a wonderful job of leading tours and showing the strengths of our school.
It was inspiring to witness our school community come together to showcase the values that define us.
As we transition into the coming week, I am excited to announce the start of our Heart Association fundraiser, which kicks off on Monday. This initiative is not only an opportunity for us to support a worthy cause but also a chance to instill in our students the importance of compassion and service to others.
In line with our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals grounded in Catholic values, we continue to infuse Catholic social teachings into our curriculum. Our focus remains on promoting principles such as peace, the common good, solidarity, and the fair sharing of resources. Through meaningful discussions, engaging activities, and service projects, we aim to empower our students to live out these teachings in their daily lives, both within our school community and beyond.
I encourage you to engage with your children in conversations about these values at home, reinforcing the lessons they are learning in school, especially the lessons about including others being examples of “living our faith.” Together, we can play a vital role in shaping compassionate and responsible individuals who embody the teachings of our faith.
Once again, thank you for your support and commitment to St. Rita’s and its staff. Your partnership is instrumental in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our students.
May God continue to bless you and your families.
Sincerely,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita School

Beginning on the weekend of February 4, members of St Rita Parish will be participating in a prayer program which Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged many years ago. It is called the “Spiritual Adoption” of an unborn child. This is done by praying for one particular, but unknown child. The prayer takes about ten seconds to say and is said every day for the next nine months. You are invited to choose a name for the child for whom you will be praying.
At the conclusion of the nine months of prayers you will have the option to bring a baby gift to church in honor of your spiritually adopted child. These baby items will then be donated to a local women’s organization. You will hear more about this as we approach the ninth month.
If your family wishes to participate simply fill out the form and the prayer card will be sent home.
