Dear Parents,
The advent activities in all of our classrooms have truly warmed my heart this month. The heartfelt cards and letters, the homemade ornaments, the creative projects, the prayer services, and our concerts were all highlights! The 8th grade performance at Las Posadas left all of our students with a touching impression about the story of Christmas. The talent and dedication of the students and staff were evident at all of our special events. I appreciate the sense of community and the emphasis on reaching out to others through service projects and donations.
We are delighted to share that our recent school concert was a resounding success. The talent displayed by our students, coupled with the dedication of our teachers and staff, created a memorable evening for all who attended. The melodies and festive performances truly captured the essence of the season, leaving us all with a sense of joy and anticipation for Christmas!
Thank you for all the donations for the 2023 Parish Breakfast Raffle Basket fundraiser, which was a huge success this year! We are looking forward to 2024 and already planning. After Christmas Sales are the best time to buy Christmas items for 2024. This is where we need your help! If you see any after Christmas sales and would like to donate, please send them to the school office. We will be collecting for the first couple of weeks in the new year. What we are looking for but not limited to is; gift wrap, Christmas theme items, white elephant gifts you do not want, candles, mugs, ribbon etc..... Thank you! We could not be as successful without the support of our St Rita parents!
As we speed towards break, we have had several out of uniform days as a fun way to celebrate. Please remind your children that OOU days still require appropriate attire - no leggings, midriffs, crocs, etc. I will also remind students before our next OOU days of these expectations
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to making St. Rita’s a place where the spirit of giving and gratitude thrives.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Beth Woodward

Because Christmas falls on a Monday this year, the schedule for Sunday, December 24th , is very complicated.
The Mass for the fourth Sunday of Advent will be held at 9 am that day, but then the first Mass for Christmas will take place at 4 pm that afternoon. This means the church must be decorated for Christmas immediately after the 9 am Mass.
Many elves are needed to get the work done.
Children are welcome – they can help put the ornaments on the tree in the narthex.
Hot chocolate, coffee and Christmas cookies will be available.
Please consider volunteering at the concessions during basketball games at St. Rita. All proceeds go to the athletic department to purchase new equipment, meet/tournament entry fees, uniforms, etc.

Dear Parents,
You may have received a text or phone call recently from the Racine Unified School District with information about the Choice Program and next school year. This message from RUSD is for the public school choice program, not the program that you have enrolled in for this school year, The Racine Parental Choice Program.
The Racine Parental Choice Program renewal process for St. Rita School. begins February 1st and ends February 20th, 2024. St. Rita's will share the link for renewing Choice funding and the simple and easy process of submitting your new proof of residency for the 2024-25 school year beginning in January, 2024.
If you will be adding a new family member to the Racine Parental Choice Program for the 2024-25 school year, you will also need to submit income verification for the new family member only.
There is nothing for you to do at this time. You will begin to get reminders in January, 2024 along with the renewal link. Any questions please let us know
