Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to share some important updates and reminders with you.
Forward Testing Begins Next Week Next week marks the beginning of Forward testing. Thank you for sending in letters of encouragement to your students and for helping them get a good night's rest beforehand. Your support is invaluable in helping our students perform their best.
Summer School Letters Summer school letters have been sent home. Please note that summer school is a requirement for any student with less than 90% attendance. If you have any concerns or questions about summer school, please do not hesitate to call me. I am here to help and support you and your child.
End of Quarter 3 This week, we concluded Quarter 3 and began our last quarter of the year. Report cards will be sent home soon, so please keep an eye out for them. This is a great time to review your child's progress and set goals for the remainder of the school year.
Math Hoops -Maddie and Aven take home the regional trophy from Math Hoops Competition at Fiserv Forum!!!
What a great night for St. Rita's students!! Three teams played for the Math Hoops regional trophy at Fiserv Forum and WON!! Maddie and Aven (7th grade) swept the regional win with a 5-0 record...and they had Jesus on their side...literally, they played with mini-Jesus instead of the NBA token :). Porter and Gage (6th grade) made the final four and Henley and Caydence (7th grade) just missed the final four by a couple of points.
The NBA/WNBA sponsors a board game that involves math, strategy, percent analysis and a bit of luck to win points...and in our case, a "mini Jesus." These students earned their invitation to Fiserv Forum by playing a double elimination bracket of 24 teams at school in January and February. Congrats to all of our players for making this a success!!!
Spring Weather and Uniforms With the arrival of spring, we anticipate warmer temperatures. Starting April 1st, students are allowed to wear their uniform shorts. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather while adhering to our school uniform policy.
Thank You I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are creating a nurturing and successful environment for our students. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita School

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Table setters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
