Dear St. Rita Families,
As we approach the joyous season of Christmas, I want to extend warm wishes to all our families. May you enjoy a wonderful break, filled with the love and laughter of family and friends.
Faith Fair Projects and IXL While we hope everyone takes this time to relax and rejuvenate, we also encourage our students to continue working on their Faith Fair projects over the break. This is a great opportunity to delve deeper into their topics and prepare for the presentations. Please also encourage your students to log into IXL if they claim they are bored!
Open House Invitation We are excited to invite you to our Open House on January 28th from 5-7 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective families to learn more about our school community and for current families to see the wonderful work our students have been doing.
Stuff the Bus Campaign When we return from break, we will be kicking off our "Stuff the Bus" campaign. We will be collecting non-perishable food items to support our local food pantries. Your generosity will make a significant difference in our community.
Las Posadas Celebration A special thank you to our 8th grade class for their outstanding performance of Las Posadas yesterday. It was a beautiful and meaningful celebration that truly captured the spirit of the season.
On behalf of the entire St. Rita Catholic School staff, I wish you all a lovely and restful Christmas break. May this time be filled with peace, joy, and the warmth of family.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
