Dear St. Rita Families,
We are looking forward to one of our favorite fall traditions—the Halloween Carnival—coming up next Friday, October 17th! This fun event is organized by our 8th grade teacher Mr. Endemann and students as a fundraiser for their class trip. The carnival is open to current St. Rita families and staff only, and wristbands will be available at the door if you are not able to get one ahead of time. Please note that this is not a drop-off event—parents must attend with their children. We can’t wait to celebrate together!
As we near the end of the quarter, we encourage parents to log in to PowerSchool to check for any missing assignments. Staying on top of work now helps students finish the quarter strong. Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, November 7th, and a SignUpGenius link will be sent home soon so families can reserve their conference time.
We are so proud of our Students of the Week and the wonderful example they set for their classmates. Thank you, parents, for partnering with us in helping your children grow in kindness, accountability, and hard work—values that guide all we do at St. Rita.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita Catholic School
Dismissal Reminder
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during dismissal. A special thank you to all parents who wait for the “slow” sign before driving forward at the end of the day. For everyone’s safety, please do not move your vehicle until you see a teacher display the “slow” sign. Your attentiveness helps keep our students safe. It is normally just a three or four minute wait from dismissal until the “go” signal.
Uniforms on Fridays
Please remember that students should wear their regular uniforms on Fridays. Our Spirit Wear Fridays will begin after Thanksgiving. We’ll share more details as we get closer to that time.
If you missed Picture day, Picture Retake will be Tuesday, October 14th.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others!
Monthly Outdoor Rosary
Please join us in praying the Rosary outdoors. We will meet monthly from May to October on the 13th of each month at 7:00 PM at the St. Rita statue on the St. Rita grounds (near the parish office doors). Rosaries, prayer booklets and assistance will be provided, if needed. The event will be canceled in the case of inclement weather. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and your friends and family. If you have small children, feel free to come for only one decade, if that is what works for your family. All are welcome!
Diaper and Wipes Collection
The Tablesetters service group at St. Rita School will be collecting diapers and wipes for the month of October. Donations will be accepted at St. Rita Church or School. Diapers of all sizes are accepted but larger sizes (3,4,5 & 6) are most needed. Together we can help keep little ones in our community happy and healthy!
Advent Breakfast Meeting
There will be a meeting about the Upcoming Advent Breakfast on Tuesday Oct. 28th at 6:30 in the St. Rita church narthex. Anyone interested in going forward with the event, sharing ideas (menu, Bake Sale, and helping with the event are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please call Kathi 262 672-7419
