If a man finds it very hard to forgive injuries, let him look at a Crucifix, and think that Christ shed all His Blood for him, and not only forgave His enemies, but even prayed His Heavenly Father to forgive them also. Let him remember that when he says the ‘Our Father’, every day, instead of asking pardon for his sins, he is calling down vengeance on himself - Saint Philip Neri
Greetings,
Wow! This is hard to believe the end of year is upon us! I will share it has been a fantastic year and your children have been a delight! The staff and I extremely grateful that you elected St. Rita's for your child's education. I cannot thank you enough!
Goodbyes are never easy so it must be the cherised memories we hold in our hearts! Well-wishes to Mrs. Pepper, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Nichols and Mr. Schatz. And, we will always remember Ms. Pruyn who showed great kindness and love. It is bittersweet to say goodbye to our loved colleagues; however we know that God will continue to work in His mysterious ways to provide everything they need. Bless you all!
During this month of June, the Church turns her gaze upon the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This is one of my favorite devotional months. It is a beautiful devotion of our Faith which emerged when our Lord visited St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1674 and requested that she spread the message of His burning love for all. Upon revealing His enflamed and pierced Heart to her, Jesus spoke these words: "Behold the heart that has so love me...Instead of gratitude I receive from the greater part (of humankind) only ingratitude." Even today, Jesus' heart is so pure of love for each of us. It is truly hard to fathom. He exposes himself to us during Holy Communion. The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is June 24. Take a moment all this month and Google The Divine Mercy Prayer! It is beautiful in song.
It was so joyful to see our fabulous class of 2022 on their final field trip to the Covenant Harbor Retreat Center. They engaged in team building activities, testing their fear of heights by zip-lining and ended with rope climbing. What a great day and so much joy in seeing them having a good, good time! Kudos Class of 2022. Ask your child about the 5 Rules...these are truly life rules to live by. A hint for one-ENCOURAGEMENT. This is a great reminder to us all to encourage each other no matter what. Okay, 4 more to go!
A special thank you to all of our amazing volunteers throughout the year. There are too many to list! I do know many of you assist behind the scenes. Each volunteer plays a vital role and your amazing service has been appreciated. We need more volunteers next year. Keep this in mind as an opportunity for you to serve God as you serve His children and staff.
Wishing everyone a safe and healthy summer. Until next time...keep Living, Loving and Learning Our Faith through JESUS. HE is the way, the truth and the light.
St. Rita watch over us and keep us safe until we meet again. St. Rita pray for us!
Blessings,
Dr. Sue

The 6th and 7th grade science classes had a great time playing with their 3D printed trebuchet's and catapults by playing games involving distance and accuracy. This group of middle schoolers are so much fun when it comes to games. With Mrs. Maraccini constantly changing the rules, the size of the target, and the tossing projectiles, these students showed great sportsmanship.
Even though the school year is coming to an end, doesn't mean you should put your creativity on hold. Draw, paint, mold, craft, and create this summer! Send me pictures via email: mrogan@sienacatholicschools.org. I'd love to see what you're creating :-)
