Dear St. Rita Families,
As we enter this joyful holiday season, I want to extend my thanks for your continued support and engagement in our school community. Your participation in recent conferences has been amazing, and I encourage you to reach out to our dedicated teachers with any concerns or questions throughout the year. Our educators truly go above and beyond to collaborate with you in nurturing your children’s growth.
This season, we have several wonderful initiatives underway to spread joy and support those in need:
Christmas Raffle Baskets: Each class collects items for the annual Raffle Basket fundraiser, which supports our school and parish.
The Giving Tree: Our Giving Tree is a beautiful way to give back to kids in need. Please consider selecting an ornament and fulfilling a wish for a child in need this holiday season.
Hygiene Items for St. Vincent De Paul: We are collecting hygiene items to support St. Vincent De Paul in grades 4-8 (soap, deodorant, shampoo, shaving cream, etc). Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on these essential supplies.
Additionally, please note the following important updates:
Winter Dress Code: Starting November 15th, students are required to wear long pants or leggings under skirts. This will help keep everyone warm as the temperatures drop.
Snow Gear: When the snow arrives, students will need to bring appropriate snow gear to enjoy outdoor play safely.
Sneakers Required: To participate in gym class and recess, all students must wear sneakers at school. This ensures they can engage fully in physical activities.
Upcoming Concerts: Mark your calendars for our concerts on December 12th! The performances will be held at 5:00 PM for grades K3-3 and at 6:00 PM for grades 4-8. We look forward to celebrating our students’ talents with you!
Thank you once again for your partnership in helping our children grow spiritually and intellectually.
Wishing you all a joyful and blessed holiday season!
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita Catholic School

First Grade Made cards for local Veterans and Families
Last week Review:
It was the playoffs and the championship games. First we have the 5th Grade Girls. They played against SJCA at St.Ritas and won to move on to the Championship. Sadly, they lost against Prairie in the championship game. Great first season 5th Grade Girls! Next we have the 6th Grade Girls. They played against All Saints at All Saints and sadly lost, not making it to the championship. Great season 6th Grade Girls! Then we have 7th grade girls. They sadly did not make it to the playoffs but they had a great season. Last but not least we have 8th Grade Girls. They played against Evergreen at St.Ritas and won moving on to the championship game. Unfortunately, they came up short to All Saints at St.Rita’s. Great season 8th Grade Girls! We wish you the best of luck in high school!

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
