Dear St. Rita Families,
Thank you for your generous support of our Rita Royals Walk for Education! Your donations should directly support our school programs, activities, and resources for our students. The Walk will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. here at school. We’d love to have you join us for camaraderie and community fun—there’s no fee to participate, and food trucks from Buckets and Mi Tierra will be on site. Many thanks to our RPSA for their incredible effort in organizing the event and securing our donors. Their time and dedication make this celebration possible!
As we move through the fall season, please remember to sign up for your child’s parent-teacher conference if you haven’t done so yet. We look forward to meeting with each of you and sharing the wonderful growth and progress your children have made so far this year.
Next week, our Church celebrates All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2)—two holy days that remind us of the great communion of saints and the promise of eternal life. These days invite us to reflect on holiness in our daily lives and to remember, with love and prayer, those who have gone before us in faith.
Finally, our classroom Halloween parties will be held on Friday, October 31, at 1:30 p.m. Students may wear costumes to school that day, but please keep in mind our guidelines:
No weapons or props resembling weapons
No blood, scary, or gory costumes
No masks or inflatable costumes
We look forward to a joyful and safe celebration for all!
Thank you, as always, for your partnership in faith and learning.
In Christ,
Ms. Beth Woodward
 Principal
Dismissal Reminder
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during dismissal. A special thank you to all parents who wait for the “slow” sign before driving forward at the end of the day. For everyone’s safety, please do not move your vehicle until you see a teacher display the “slow” sign. Your attentiveness helps keep our students safe. It is normally just a three or four minute wait from dismissal until the “go” signal.
Uniforms on Fridays
Please remember that students should wear their regular uniforms on Fridays. Our Spirit Wear Fridays will begin after Thanksgiving. We’ll share more details as we get closer to that time.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others!
Diaper and Wipes Collection
The Tablesetters service group at St. Rita School will be collecting diapers and wipes for the month of October. Donations will be accepted at St. Rita Church or School. Diapers of all sizes are accepted but larger sizes (3,4,5 & 6) are most needed. Together we can help keep little ones in our community happy and healthy!
