Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. As we move deeper into the school year, I wanted to share a few important reminders and updates with you.
Cell Phone Policy Reminder Research consistently shows that cell phone use during school hours can be detrimental to student learning. To maintain an optimal learning environment, we remind you that cell phones are not allowed in school. Any phones seen being used during the day must be turned in to the office. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this policy and keeping our focus on learning.
Weather and Outdoor Recess As the weather turns cooler, please ensure your children come prepared for outdoor recess every day, unless it is raining. Proper attire will help them enjoy their time outside comfortably.
Parking Lot Safety We have had a couple of close calls in the parking lot recently, and we want to ensure the safety of all our students and families. Please remember to slow down and drive defensively when entering and exiting the parking lot. Your caution and attentiveness can help prevent accidents and keep everyone safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parent-Teacher Conferences Our parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for November 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parents can sign up for a conference with K3-5th grade teachers. Middle School and specialist teachers will be available in the gym without an appointment. We look forward to discussing your child’s progress with you.
Halloween Celebrations Halloween is next week, and we are excited for the class parties that afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students are welcome to wear costumes, but please remember that masks and weapons are not allowed. Additionally, the same guidelines for hemlines, midriffs, etc., apply as on any school day.
Mass Schedule Change Please note that we will not have mass on Halloween, which falls on a Thursday, our usual mass day. Instead, we will celebrate mass on Friday, November 1st, in honor of All Saints Day.
Thank You to Our 8th Graders Another thank you to our 8th grade students for organizing a wonderful Halloween carnival last week. Your hard work and creativity made the event a memorable experience for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward

Hello St. Rita families!
My name is Linsey Liebherr (Leeb-hair) and I am the new school counselor at St. Rita's!
I am split 50/50 with St. Lucy's so I will be here Monday/Wednesday and Friday mornings. I am so excited to be here and to begin getting to know your student(s), the staff and you all!
A little about me: I was born and raised in Racine and attended Park High school. Once I graduated I attended UW-Milwaukee and received my bachelor's in Psychology. I then received my master's degree in School Counseling from Lakeland University. In total I have been a counselor for 9 years! My husband and I met during our undergraduate studies and have been married 8 years and bought our first home in Caledonia in 2020. We have 3 boys together and 2 dogs. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, spending time by the lake, reading and much more. I am so excited to be here and get to know you all. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions, comments or concerns!
My email is lliebherr@sienacatholicschools.org.
Middle School was taking advantage of the crisp leaves, Fall air, and bright sunshine.
Today was the perfect day to push the leaves together and "Fall in!"
Their assignment was to pretend they were little ones again and enjoy the leaves.

This is Liam’s review of last week’s games:
This week in the St.Rita Girls Volleyball all the teams did really well but some sadly lost. Starting it off with the 5th graders, they won vs Prairie played at JPII’s gym. Next we have the 6th graders. They sadly lost to SJCA- White at the All Saints School gym. Moving on to the St.Rita-White 7th grade. They sadly lost to SJCA played at St.Lucy's Gym. Going to the St.Rita-Blue 7th grade. They took a victory VS Hope School played at St.Lucy’s Gym. LAst but not least we have 8th grade. They had a double header, both played at St.Rita's Gym. They lost their first game to Evergreen but won their second game to Renaissance.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Tablesetters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
