Greetings Families,
Greetings!
It has been a beautiful month! Much to be proud of especially for all of the staff, students and extra volunteers/hands that make our day go smoothly. We are in the middle of the STAR ASSESSMENT and after the assessment, each staff member reviews the data. The goal is to ensure that we are providing the academic excellence that your child deserves. The score reflects as a community, we are here to help your child grow in academics and faith. We are honored to serve as Christ like ambassadors to your children.
Very excited to report that as a result of all your family efforts, every grade level will receive an extra recess time. Mr. Geoff and I are ready!! Way to go families. We appreciated everyone's efforts ensuring that your child(ren) were in school on today (Friday).
I cannot stress enough to read all of the communications that are sent home. Whether this newsletter, class DOJO, checking out the website and Facebook, asking/checking your child(ren) book bags for permission slips and the like. Each week it is my goal to post at least one video of daily happenings or fun events. This really helps build the foundation of home and school connections. We want you to be aware of all that is happening!
We have a core team of 8th graders who are learning how to use cameras to capture more of the great learning happening inside and outside of St. Rita’s! A special thank you to our RPSA and all families who have supported us via fundraising. Your contributions have provided the cameras for the students to use. These students have sent several hours with Ms. Kennedee Clark, St. Catherine’s High School student who has given up her time to stop by during the day to help train our students. I am looking forward to their quality photos!
Speaking of St. Catherine’s High School, we have three students who stop by as part of their Ministry Class. They are with us on M, W, and F. They support students in the classroom and during lunch. They love engaging the students in basketball and football activities while outside.
Please scroll down to review how to register and how to donate for the Catholic Education Walk on October 15. This is a big event for St. Rita's. All of the money returns to our RPSA who supports the many items needed for St. Rita's. For example, the Parent Association is supporting all of the current clubs. And, purchased all of our outdoor recess equipment. We are forever grateful.
I am praying to see everyone at our Church and School Welcome Back to School Mass this Sunday, September 18. The Mass starts at 10:30AM. You do not have to be Catholic to attend. Please join us in prayer and Kringle afterwards!
God Bless,
Dr. Sue
“Gratitude”
Recognize what you have already done well and feel thankful for your current success. Use the word “why” to ask yourself, “Why am I so successful?” You do not need to answer the question. This tells your brain that you already have success and it will then be engaged in gathering evidence to enforce its belief whether you do or not. You will be more apt to find solutions if you believe you are successful at finding them. The brain (ego) likes to be right.
Hello to the St Rita Family,
I am Ms. Wiemer and I teach second grade, my favorite grade to teach! I may be new to St. Rita but I have been teaching since 2005 in a variety of grades. I live with my sister and we have two dogs and a bunny. Gardening is one of my favorite passions besides teaching!
I feel blessed to be a part of St. Rita School where we exemplify excellence in teaching. I can be considered a “fun” teacher but I challenge my students to be his or her very best. I prepare my students to be ready to face the adversities they may encounter in the future. We focus on body, mind and spirit.
I believe that second grade is a very special time since many of my students will have their first reconciliation with Father Michael and they will have their first Holy Communion in the spring. To learn and live like Jesus is so special!
So, if you hear a little more noise coming from a classroom down the hallway, it is probably the second grade students laughing and having fun as we learn and grow!
Ms. Wiemer
Checking out the their artwork and the beauty of everyone’s pieces. How they are all different and beautiful in their own unique way.
We are grateful for Siena’s support in providing us new window blinds in several rooms! Looking bright and cheery!
Our St. Rita's Spirit Dance Club needs dancers! Please see Ms. Lopez, Coach Bodi or Dr. Sue if you are interested. The goal is to have this group perform at our Athletic Events! WHO HAS SCHOOL SPIRIT???

The purpose of this notice is to share that in our Uniform Policy (page 55) it states that shorts, skirts and/or dresses/jumpers should be no more than two inches above the knee. Many of the students have grown taller over the summer and we would like for everyone to take this long weekend to double check your child(ren) shorts, skirts, dresses/jumpers for proper coverage. Please let us know if we may assist in any manner.

On behalf of Father Michael, he would like to invite our families to a Town Hall meeting with parents/guardians of children enrolled in St. Rita's.
Date: Wednesday September 21st 2022
Time: 5:00PM.
The meeting will take place in the Church and the focus of the meeting will center on the discussion regarding community.
The topic of conversation will focus on a brief history of the school and the new relationship it has following Siena’s the integration of Siena Catholic Schools of Racine.
Father Michael would like to pose the question, as Catholics, How do we re-enter into the process of rebuilding the community?
If your child is in the third grade or above and has received their First Holy Communion, we would like to invite you to become an altar server. St. Rita's Parish needs additional servers at all of our weekend masses. We hope that many more of you will be willing to accept the privilege and responsibility of serving at Mass. It is an excellent way for you to show gratitude for the gift of our Catholic faith as well as a way to personally praise, worship, and thank God for His many blessings. Please clearly fill out the information and bring the form with you when you come to the server training which will be held on September 29th after the school mass. THE FORMS ARE BEING SENT HOME FRIDAY, SEPT. 16.
Join us for the 10th annual Catholic Schools Walk held at Siena Center on Saturday October 15th.
Soles for Catholic Education Walk is now simply, Catholic Schools Walk. Our Catholic school’s walk will continue the tradition of celebrating Catholic education, building community, and raising much-needed funds that will benefit St. Rita’s classrooms and students.
St. Rita School is forming a Catholic Schools Walk team to raise $15,000 for efforts beyond the regular school budget such as clubs, field trips, teacher appreciation, classroom enrichment, and much more! Register today, and help us reach our goal by asking family, friends, and neighbors to make a donation.
Is there a registration fee, and how do I register? There is no fee to register for the 10th annual Catholic Schools Walk.
