Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to extend a big thank you to all of you for the wonderful recognition of our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers work incredibly hard, and they were very happy to be recognized for their dedication and efforts.
As we approach the end of the school year, please remember to keep an eye on Class Dojo for announcements regarding our many upcoming events. We have several exciting activities planned, including field trips, the concert next Thursday, Festa St. Rita, Trivia Night, and, of course, graduation.
I am pleased to announce that our STAR testing is finished for the year. Students who met both of their goals will be rewarded with a pizza party on May 20th. Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and achievements!
With summer approaching, I encourage you to think about summer learning opportunities for your children. Whether it is summer school, a reading program, or following the teacher recommendations for IXL, it is important to keep the momentum going. Our students and teachers have worked hard this year, and we don't want students to lose what they've learned over the summer.
I am also excited to share that the new pope has a special connection to St. Rita's. He worked with the Augustinian novices when the seminary was open here. Our students are thrilled to have this connection with our church's new leader.
Lastly, I want to wish all the mothers in our community a very Happy Mother's Day. You are your children’s first teacher and we appreciate your partnership in educating your children!
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward
Principal, St. Rita's School

Dear St.Rita’s Community,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the donors, school-wide, for your incredible generosity. Together, we raised $1,615.00 for the installation of the doors between our 3K classroom and the before/after school care space. This improvement is vital for safety, supervision, security, and noise control, allowing us to create a more effective learning environment.
I am also excited to announce the winners of the art pieces! The Riekkoff family won the Rising Moon, and the Bloemers family won the Hibiscus painting. Congratulations to both families!
Thank you once again for your support and commitment to our school community.
Warm regards,
Ms. Terrie Zondag 3K

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Table setters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
