Summer School - Thursday June 26, 2025-Wednesday, July 23, 2025
Dear St. Rita Families,
As we close the doors on another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many joyful memories and milestones we’ve shared as a school community.
This year has been filled with laughter, learning, and love. In the fall we held our always-popular Halloween Carnival, where students and families came together in costume and spirit. The Christmas and spring concerts brought warmth to our hearts, showcasing the incredible talents of our students and the dedication of our music staff.
One of the touching moments during the year was celebrating First Communion with our second graders—a beautiful reminder of the faith that grounds our school. We also had the privilege of watching our 8th graders graduate, ready to take on the world with confidence and grace. Their growth has been an inspiration.
Throughout the year, our students embarked on wonderful field trips, expanding their horizons beyond the classroom. And who could forget the joy of watching our kindergarteners learn to read—a magical milestone that sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
None of this would be possible without the tireless dedication of our teachers, who pour their hearts into forming and educating our students both in and out of the classroom. A special thank you goes to our middle school teachers, who went above and beyond by leading clubs and after-school activities that kept our students engaged and growing.
We are also deeply grateful for Mrs. Lopez, who is truly the heart of our front office. Whether she’s tracking down a missing lunch, coordinating dentist appointments, administering first aid, or managing our purchasing and attendance systems, she does it all with patience and grace. Thank you, Mrs. Lopez, for being a steady and caring presence for our students and staff.
This year has reminded us how fortunate we are to have such a strong network of staff and parents working together to support our students. Your partnership is what makes St. Rita’s such a special place to learn and grow.
As we head into summer, please note that teachers will be sending home summer work. Our students consistently perform well, but we’ve noticed that many experience a drop in academic levels over the summer months. By encouraging your children to engage in a small amount of learning each week, we can help prevent this learning loss and set them up for success in the fall.
We’ll continue to send out updates over the summer, and we look forward to welcoming you all back in the new school year. Until then, may your summer be filled with rest, joy, and family time.
With gratitude and blessings,
Beth Woodward
