Dear St. Rita Families,
As we approach Holy Week and our subsequent spring break, I invite you to reflect on the significance of this time. Our teachers have supported your children’s spiritual growth during Lent and have encouraged them to fast from negatives and feast on compassion, encouragement, and gratitude. Holy Week is a period of deep spiritual reflection and renewal, culminating in the celebration of Easter. It is a time for us to come together as a community, to support one another, and to embrace the values of faith, hope, and love. Next Thursday, during our regular mass time, our students will perform the Stations of the Cross. This meaningful tradition allows our students to engage deeply with the events of Holy Week and to express their faith through prayer and reflection. We encourage families to join us for this special event if you wish.
Looking ahead to May, we have a plethora of exciting events planned:

Each classroom teacher will communicate specific details regarding events for their classroom through Class Dojo. Please stay tuned for these updates.
We would like to thank our volunteers who help keep the parking lot safe for students during pick-up and drop-off times. Your support is invaluable to our school community.
A few important reminders for all parents:
Traffic Flow: Please ensure that the traffic flow always moves forward. Do not back up, and avoid crossing the crosswalk.
Driveway Usage: The driveway near the K3/K4 door is reserved for aftercare or beforecare parents only. It is not for general use.
Thank you for working together to observe these norms. By doing so, we can keep things moving smoothly and ensure the safety of all our students. Generally, only an extra couple of minutes of wait time will ensure all students are out of the way.
We appreciate your cooperation and support in making St. Rita School a safe and nurturing environment for our children.
Warm regards,
Beth Woodward

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Table setters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
Children's Liturgy of the Word will be offered on two more Sundays at the 10:30 Mass during this school year. Join us on Sun. Apr. 6 and Sun. May 4. Children have the opportunity to hear God's word proclaimed and explained in an engaging way.
Religious Education is Collecting can tabs for Children's Hospital again this year. Tabs can be dropped off at the school office
