Dear St. Rita Families,
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate the busy spring season together. We want to extend our sincerest apologies for the cancellation of yesterday’s school concert. Due to the weather forecast indicating potentially dangerous conditions, we made the decision to cancel in the interest of safety.
While we won’t be rescheduling a public concert, we’re excited to announce that students will perform during a special school assembly on Field Day (May 28, with a rain date of May 29). We’ll be recording the performances and sharing videos with families so you can still enjoy the beautiful music your children have worked so hard on. A big thank you to Ms. Miller for her dedication—students sounded wonderful during dress rehearsals!
Next week, spring STAR assessment results will be sent home with your child. These results provide valuable insights into your child’s academic growth and help guide our instruction. If you have any questions after reviewing the results, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
The end of the school year has been filled with exciting and enriching field trips! From museums to the zoo, our students have had wonderful opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. We are so grateful to the many parents who volunteered their time to chaperone—your support makes these experiences possible!
We’re looking forward to celebrating Festa St. Rita next Thursday with a short play following mass and afternoon games. Students may wear a RED top with their uniform bottoms or wear their uniform. Students are allowed to leave for lunch with their families from 10:30-12:00 if their parents wish. Please remember to return your child’s permission slip by Monday if you plan to take your child off campus. It promises to be a joyful day of faith, fun, and community!
As we close out the school year, we kindly ask that if you have any concerns or questions, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher or to me. Open and respectful communication helps us best support your child. We also encourage everyone to avoid spreading or engaging with rumors on social media, as these can cause unnecessary confusion and stress. Your partnership means the world to us, and we are grateful for the trust you place in our staff and school.
With gratitude,
Beth Woodward

May 22nd - Festa St. Rita: A beloved tradition celebrating our patron saint! Following the St. Rita play, parents will have the opportunity to take their students out for lunch from 10:30-12:00 p.m. Students may leave with family or someone who is listed as their emergency contact.
A fun-filled evening of friendly competition awaits our middle schoolers and any parents who wish to attend! Mrs. Maraccini and Lora Miller have taken the lead to organize our first of hopefully many future events.

Tablesetters - Community Service Group
Children in kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate in the community service group at St. Rita called Table setters. We meet once a month to learn about Catholic social teaching and participate in service opportunities which reflect those teachings. Some examples of projects from the past are: making dog toys for the Humane Society, collecting winter clothes for a local school, making "blessing bags" for the patrons of the St. Patrick's meal program, planting bulbs on the St. Rita grounds, making scarves and hats for the Hospitality Center, and making cards for our homebound parishioners. Participation in Tablesetters gives students the opportunity to play a real part in the local and global work of serving our community. It's fun to work together in helping others! Please fill out the form that was sent home with your child and return it to school before our first meeting.
