Ants

Introduction

Nature's Clean Up Crew

Ants help keep nature clean by collecting and eating damaged or decaying fruits, as well as dead animals which might otherwise draw other, more problematic animals or spread disease.

Soil Health

Ants are also critical for helping to boost soil fertility. Their tunnels help aerate our soils, allowing water to penetrate the ground properly when it rains. Any un-eaten food in the ants' stores can then rot down and contribute to soil nutrients.

Ants Farm Bugs & Fungi

Ants Have Farmed Longer Than Humans

Science has found evidence that ants were farming long before humans, caring for fungi and creating microclimates.
