Introduction
Unlike traditional schools or online schools, these are camps or learning centers that allow you to have hands-on experience building, growing, taking samples for testing, and so much more.
These do not necessarily end with a certificate or degrees, so make sure to assess first if these opportunities will actually be useful if you plant to work towards a specific career.
International
Ecosystem Restoration Camps " are repairing the earth. We are bringing everyday people together, to restore degraded ecosystems from the ground up." This program is building camps all over the world to give environmentalists with decades of experience the opportunity to train the next generation of activists. Each camps also functions as a living lab with the intention of creating replicable models that can be used elsewhere and scaled up or adjusted as needed. Tiny Farms "wants to spark the creation of a swarm of microfarms that can be run by their operators alone or collectively, full-time or part-time. The idea is that clusters of these farms can supply regional food to supermarkets, caterers, restaurants or school kitchens within a maximum radius of 100 kilometers. The startup trains the farmers of tomorrow in its academy, develops cultivation plans, supplies seeds and handles organic certification. Above all, the team at Tiny Farms in Berlin takes care of selling and transporting the products grown on the land of the farmers."

Beaver Institute: Training Beaver Wetland Professionals "The Beaver Institute is proud to offer the first and only professional, non-lethal beaver management course. The online classes and field work are personally mentored by Beaver Institute President, Mike Callahan and other Beaver Institute instructors. All students learn the same successful, innovative beaver management techniques that he has successfully used since 1998 to resolve over 2,000 beaver-human conflicts, as well as Process-Based Restoration techniques to restore streams and beaver wetlands. Monmoth University: Tropical Island Ecology (BY 317) "focuses on investigations of plants, animals, and natural ecosystems of the Bahamas archipelago with emphasis on marine ecosystems, island ecology, resource management, and sustainable development. The course is offered annually in the spring semester.
With an emphasis on authentic science, students develop an understanding of how the application of scientific research provides the foundation for development of effective solutions to coastal problems and marine resource management strategies."

New York: Wind Energy Technology Microcredential "will prepare participants for technical careers in wind energy-related fields. Participants will be provided with hands-on experience to learn and apply theory through the use of trainers and virtual reality simulations. Credits earned from the Wind Energy Technology microcredential may be applied toward the Farmingdale State College Wind Turbine Technology Certificate.
