Introduction

The funding opportunities listed here are sorted by continent according to this resource, country, and in some cases region, state, province, island, etc.

We are constantly looking to improve, so requests and suggestions are very welcome!

Additional Grant/Funding/Free Resources Directories

This page was intended for general grants and similar resources for schools and teachers, but the following directories may also be of use!

Cycle to School Support

The Free Bikes and Trikes for Students page lists programs dedicated to getting students and other members of the community onto their own bikes. Some of the organizations specifically help medical workers, people with disabilities or certain diseases. Check the requirements of organizations listed for your area (or internationally) as they may require teachers or schools make requests for large shipments of bikes, or make requests for specific students in need.

Gardening & Landscaping Resources

The Trees page is focused on helping people, organizations, or communities get access to cheap or free trees. There are some grants that may pay only for trees, or also include equipment costs such as tree protectors, drip systems, etc.

The Seeds page lists seed libraries, seed swaps, organic seed providers, and similar resources to help you start growing your own wildflowers, fruits, vegetables, grasses, and even trees.

Bonus Resources

The following are not specifically school or education related, but may be of use, and some have programs specifically aimed at schools which we'll try to move over to this page as our time allows.

Greening Your School Grounds

The following include directories similar to the one above, listing resources by continent then country.

Click the Free Trees button to learn about program in your area offering free or cheap trees for planting projects. Some are specifically aimed at specific communities, home owners, or types of projects (such as helping communities cool or feed themselves), but a few are specifically aimed at school tree planting projects. Some donors also offer assistance, tools, and other supplies to ensure your tree planting project is a success.

The Wildflowers page has a listing of appropriate plants for your region, followed by another directory to help you find local plants.

The Seeds page includes seed libraries, which can provide you with free seeds. This page offers wild/local plants as well as edible options including heirloom vegetables and fruits.

Student Mobility

Students with mobility issues or other disabilities may benefit from the freedom and stability provided by a trike.
